God damn, is there anything more painful than listening to Newcombe and Rednut Woody barracking, err, I mean 'commentating' a Hewitt match? I think not. Just horrible.

Newcombe at 3-4 in the 4th - "Come on LLeyton, one more point... just hang in there"
What barracking?![]()
This isn't the ****ing olympicsWhy wouldn't they barrack? He's the only Australian left, and they're broadcasting to an Australian audience.
Sorry, thought I was watching Wimbledon, didn't realise it was Davis Cup.Why wouldn't they barrack? He's the only Australian left, and they're broadcasting to an Australian audience.
Hewitt just plays the safe game way too often and his serving at crucial times is diabolical.
You obviously didn't see the 4th set then. 2 breaks and loses the breaks straight after. Where are his one or 2 aces which makes serving games much easier to win.Hewitt's serving has actually improved massively, and has been one of the reasons for his return to form.
How the **** can a player who wants to be in the worlds top 10 choke so often with such easy shots.

Djokovic is nothing special. Hewitt just misses far too many easy shots. Missing shots whilst going for shots you can understand but when shots are missed just hitting it back it's unacceptable for profesionals and the players who do it wont do very well.To take the 4th seed to three tiebreaks in the 4th Round at Wimbledon isn't a bad effort, to be honest.

Now I'm in Perth and the footy show is still on. I can just imagine Newk now wanking on about Hewitt not giving up.
This far? His seed 16 and knocked out with 16 players left....hardly anything special.I didn't see the 4th set live, so no, I didn't see that. But what I was commenting on was his improved serve. His serve has improved a lot, and is the main reason he has made it through this far.
