Tsonga absolutely clubs a tennis ball, not much sophistication about the way he hits it. Almost like... some certain boxer

Measure his game against Ferrer's, who doesnt hit it all that hard, but hits it into awkward positions at awkward angles, ocean's apart

Well done to Murray. Would support him in a Wimbledon final against most other than Federer. A little bit of history coming our way Sunday night. The womens final on the other hand...ZZZZZZZZZZ

IMO the sun played a big role in stopping tsonga's momentum, I would like to see this disturbance banned from future events in a similar manner to any patron who continuously distracts. I hear a man by the name of CM Burns has come up with a way to block the sun, this device should be mandatory at every ATP and WTA tournament

but really kudos to Andrew Murray for his classy play and splendid nut shot

While acknowledging that Roger Federer played the big points better in today's four-set semifinal loss, Novak Djokovic said he's been under the weather lately. "I had bad last couple days," he said. "Last five, six days I wasn't feeling great.

I'd give anything to ensure Federer wins this tournament. It would be by far the best of his career.
  • End grand slam drought of over 2 years
  • 7th Wimbledon title (drawing level with Sampras)
  • Reclaim top spot and therefore break the record for total weeks at number 1
With Djokovic in his prime and Federer nearing his 31st birthday, he'd need to produce a phenomenal performance to even reach the final. I can't see it happening unfortunately.
He was immense against Djokovic.

For the reasons you stated I really hope he wins the final. It will be the crowning moment of his career you would think. So many people doubt that he could win another GS and having not being ranked number 1 in so long and losing the number 1 one week shy of Pete's record. Well win the final and what a way to prove everyone wrong.

Really hope he wins.

Barcelona got bullied out of it by Chelsea but are still the most gifted and most briliant soccer team. Equally on occasion Fed has gotten bullied out of it by the fitness fanatical determination and power of the likes of Djokovic and Nadal but Federer stands miles ahead for the beauty and grace of his game. EG I was unsurprised but slightly saddened to learn that he is one of only 3 single handed backhanders in the whole draw. Those who value elegance and grace in the game will want him to get a 7th Wimbledon and equal Pete Sampras.

I read that quote in a couple of articles this morning, and I'm still bemused as to why he would even allude to it.

The thing is that Novak Djokovic may have indeed been feeling slightly under the weather as of late, but Federer has been battling issues with his back and receiving treatment after every match that he's progressed through too. Simply put, Federer played the better tennis, his delicate balance of power and finesse saw him conjure and subsequently take advantage of numerous crucial break point opportunities, and it culminated in a courageous, daring victory.

Personally, and I admit to being utterly biased, but I hope Federer can do it again on Sunday. He'll achieve the world number one ranking yet again, he'll not only equal Sampras' illustrious record of seven Wimbledon crowns but he will also equal Sampras' record of 286 weeks as the top ranked player in the world, so there's so much symmetry surrounding it should he win. Plus, really, I don't want Murray winning Wimbledon!

Has there ever been a GS final with so much pressure on both players? Federer playing for history- and to show he's still a force - while Murray has 80-odd years of history against him. Huge.

It was only a matter of time.
Wonder if anybody out of GB actually supports Murray?
I'm sure they do, but still seems like a legitimate question.

Always noticed that Djokovic does this stuff, always seems to act hurt when he starts playing poor. Im not a fan of Djokovic...

Really hope Fed can get up, going to be such a huge game... Fed always a crowd favourite but not this time!

Murray! This is his time! I got a feeling that he is gonna win it. I hope im right. This is his best shot IMO. For tonight i cant belive i am going to cheer for Radwanska or Williams. Im gonna have to bring myself to cheer for Radwanska.

Rooting for Fed as well. If he comes out aggressive like he did against Djokovic I doubt Murray can keep up with him on grass. Would be a great effort and would definitely cement himself as the GOAT if he wins IMO. His longevity is amazing.

Looks like one of GB's sporting droughts is going to end come sunday, maybe I'm a saddist, but does anyone else want it to continue? Will be barracking for Fed. Murray is definitely gonna win a slam though, even if its not this year's Wimby. He is just too good not to.

It's going to take Fed, Novak, Nadal being bungled out before Murray has a chance to prove himself.
