Todd - 'Stosur just playing to settle into some ralleys now'. Ahh no, she's playing to finish ralleys, as she always does, and making her shots. It's why Stosur can be so devastating and yet so inconsistent - she always has that likelihood to bomb out early if her game is off. Needs to get that consistency up until the quarters/semis to take the next step imo. After that, by all means live and die off your racquet but you need the chance to do this.

Yeah watched about 70% of that game (see the dude with the tiges guernsey? lol) and he was. Piss funny when he smashed the ball out of the court..

Gotta say anyone who loves tennis and hasn't been to Wimbledon yet.. get along. Such a great day.. and I didn't even get to the show courts. There is a chance to get into the show courts in the arvo by buying re-sell tickets however, which if I went again I would definitely try around 3pm to get them.. the line was massive by the time we got there after the Dellacqua match (5:15pm-ish).

Went to Day 2 last year and had a ball
Got up at the crack of dawn, reached Wimbledon at around 7am and found myself about 2800th in line.
Spent nearly the whole day at Court 14. Had Novak warm up for about 30 minutes before the matches got underway. First match was Kvitova so I had already seen the future Men's and Women's champs up close. Next match was Tomic dismantling Davydenko before Stosur played woefully.
Then went for a walk around and made my way to Henman Hill and sat there for a bit.

Yep its a great day out.

We got there about 7am too, was number 4,250 in line. I'm tempted to go back again, although from here on end the ground passes diminish in value. I'm not a massive fan of doubles..

Yes and thank heck for that. Now the ch 7 Aussie obsession for ratings is finished and we can get on to watching the best matches and the highest quality tennis

i don't think stosurs game is that bad for grass. she is heavily powerful thus should simply be pushing the ball deep and hard to the back of the court to overpower her opponents. she seemingly finds a way to f*** up in situations she can't lose... but does
