Wow. Federer will move back to no.2 now...
Federer can move back to number 1 if he wins Wimbledon. He is obviously a huge chance. He was a big chance to win before Nadal went out but now if he can get by Djokovic the final will be a hell of alot easier. Would be amazing to see Federer get a 7th Wimbledon, a 17th Grand Slam title and go back to Number 1 in the world.

Just watched the highlights of Rosol vs Nadal... Rosol was just playing the match of his life. Doubt he can keep it up as if he plays like he did against Nadal he'll destroy everyone. He was CRUSHING the ball. 60 something winners to 29 unforced errors or something along those lines. He'll never play a better match in his life.

Im watching Nadal's game now on foxsports. Is anyone else getting a ringing noise in their coverage? Its so annoying.

Who is the ****head commentating and putting down Rosol at every occasion? Talk about tall-poppy syndrome. In the 5th set, has the deep voice.
Was it Rasheed?

Either way, huge performance. Just ridiculous. Nadal a tad petulant about proceedings.

No one could have broken Rosol in that 5th set. His serving and hitting off the few returns that came back were just too good. He didn't play as well as that in the 2nd or 3rd, but Rafa was a little off then. Who knows how Rafa was playing in the 5th set, it was completely out of his control. Hard to think of a bigger upset than that.

Yeah I think it was. What a ****. Rosol was incredible and Ratshit was talking down his nose at him the whole time.
Rasheed is a farkwit. There's a video of youtube where the umpire talks to Federer in french, and Roger responds in english, and one of the commentators (I can't remember who) noted how it was interesting, then Roger the obnoxious ****** says "this is Australia." So that means we can't use other languages you bloody ignorant w***er? Not to mention I think he may be of Indian descent, so kind of odd comment to make when you're not anglo.

Anyway I honestly still cannot believe this result. I really hope Rosol actually does well, it'll suck if he goes out next round.

Nadal didn't look too upset at losing in the press conference. I reckon he might have thrown the game on purpose so he could go and watch Spain play Italy in the Euro final, he is a big football fan so I wouldn't put it past him.

The dude has won heaps of grand slam titles, won Wimbledon twice and is a multi millionaire so what does he have to gain by winning another one when he can go and watch his beloved Spain in a Euro final instead and put his feet up. That's what I'd be doing if I was him.

Well played Rafa :thumbsu:

Are you being serious?

Are you being serious?

Well I'm half serious yes, it seems like a massive coincidence that Nadal gets knocked out so early in a tournament for the first time in ages to a complete nobody the day after Spain qualify for the Euro final.
I heard him mention before that he was a massive football fan and how he celebrated when Spain won the World Cup a couple of years ago so I'm sure he'd love to be at the Euro final to watch Spain beat Italy. If you see footage of him sitting in the crowd during the Euro final then I think my theory might have some truth to it.

Not sure how much further he'll go, but gotta tip my hat to Rosol. I've seen free-wheeling before, but this was just ridiculous. How are some of these shots going in?! Amazing tennis, was simply awesome to watch.

As for Rafa, has had a long campaign through the clay-court season, perhaps not at his best (not that he would've won anyway). Couldn't possibly write him off from winning more slams purely on the back of one mans possessed, relentless hitting. He has been vulnerable to this style before though (see: Soderling) so wouldn't be surprised to see some other underdog try it again.
