Agreed. Kerber has that acceptable grunt that comes from maximum effort. Serena's grunt is a lot more of an intimidation thing.

one loose point, and that is that. Willaims first set.

To play so well all set and then just put in two overly aggressive unforced errors like that was so bad by Kerber. I can't see her winning two sets in a row against Serena Williams. Even in Australia she lost the second set after winning the first.

Not many of Serena's opponents are ever in a commanding enough position in a rally to even think about it.

For kerber to stand any chance here, Willaims has to drop off in her serving. she works so hard to get a chance to put pressure on Williams. it must be so deflating then the next point, Willaims just serves an unreturnable.

She is playing so well(Kerber), it just seems unfair when it happens.

Excellent first couple of games of this second set from Kerber. It would have been so easy to get discouraged after losing that hardfought first set but she's remained steady here.
