Simona Halep is the top seed, with Roger Federer her counterpart in the men's draw.
Williams is seeded one place lower than Maria Sharapova, who she was due to meet in the fourth round of the French Open before pulling out because of injury. Her sister Venus is the ninth seed.
British number ones Johanna Konta and Kyle Edmund are seeded 22nd in their respective draws.
Bouchard just lost the second setGood luck to whoever is playing Bouchard first up.

I'll be following it very closely. Once wimbledon is over i don't follow much of the tennis through the american swing because the time zone is horrible for me. I've got 2 weeks holidays over thr e next 2 weeks so its a brilliant time.I know Bouchard can be unpleasant but she is normally friendly to the media. I wonder what is up. She won in the end but tough q3 game coming up.
Dont know how much of this i will catch. Going to be hard with the WC and the Tour(Go Richie) on at the same time.
Not a big fan of Serena being seeded, completely arbitrary. Whoever was going to be 32nd would be right to feel hard done by.
She hasn't qualified. She is through to the 3rd round of qualifying where I predict she will lose.Good luck to whoever is playing Bouchard first up.
I can see why. Ranked 4th mid last year, now down to 32. Lost R1 at AO and RG, her worst ever start to the Grand Slam season (dating back to 2007) and she might cop a very tough 1st round opponent. With any luck she will get a potentially easy path to the 3rd round.Cibulkova isn't happy

If there is ever a time to have someone ranked outside the top 32 and give them a seeding, this is it. Unfortunate for cibulkova, but wimbledon use discretionary seeding for a reason. The players know it can happen. If you have a seeding system that has a discretionary component then you really need to use it when a 7 time champion is in Serena's position or you are never going to use it.
Bernie lost the first set against Bemelmans. Pretty tough draw for qualies but Bernie should still be beating him.
All over....
