Charmed run to the final and while she has been playing loose she has still hit them pretty well and a lesser player than Kerber would be intimated as ****.

I think she would have been aiming for the US Open as her first "real" crack at a grand slam tournament this year. She would not have expected to make the final at Wimbledon, and this match is why. She's not there yet.

Don't get me wrong, hasn't been a good match, but Kerber's grit is just out of this world. Just pleasing tennis to watch. I know Williams was trying to pump her self up and intimidate Kerber with smashing the ball but it is the wrong tactic v Kerber when you keep missing.

Well Done Kerber. By far the better player.

Kerber is probably the worst player Serena could have possibly played in this final, but Kerber was absolutely clinical. She's now one of the absolute greats of this era having won 3 GS titles, all at different tournaments.

Amazing comeback from last year for her. I honestly thought she was cooked at times last year but she's well and truly back.

But to be fair on Kerber. She got to World Number 1 by winning 2 GSs or at least 1. Not like the other 2.
