Not really. Anderson is in huge trouble though.Just comeback from MCG, any upset so far?
Hopefully we'll get a good game from these two players.![]()
Tall poppy Syndrome. Give me a iffy spell. This is what has annoyed me when both of you guys replied to Parker. Suddenly, if you don't think barty will win, it is anti Aussie or Tall poppy. Please!!!!!!! Parker may be both of those things, but not everyone who says Barty won't win is, and Parkers reasons are very much my own thoughts, hence this back and forth.
And a lull in the WTA???? I think one person said that, no one else did. certainty not mcgarnacle. Like he said, stop putting words in our mouths.
Both mcgarnacle and I have said Barty number 1 = great. But she is fighting recent history of both slams and number 1s in the WTA. It will be an amazing achievement if she does double. But of course, look at the negative part.
I have said there are more powerful players who are very dangerous, of which Kvitova is very much one. but hey, rating a 2 time Wimbledon slam winner is utter triple according to some. Kvitova's best, as a power hitter, like Super Muguruza or Osaka or Williams, is unplayable. When a power hitter hits the red zone, they are unbeatable IMO. It is the reason why people thought pure defenders like Halep, Wozniacki, Jankovic and Kerber would ever win a slam title back in the early 2010's. Look at Soderling or Stanimal for ATP examples of people getting hold of Novak and Nadal.
Kvitova, BEFORE getting injured, looked like she was close to that limit and has a history of finding that at Wimbledon. So it is NOT tall poppy to think she can still find that despite an injury. I am personally very quick to call out a potential sighting of Super Muguruza(sadly very rare nowadays).
ps: my tip is Pliskova if she gets past tonight soundly. though she always seems to have a bad day one day at Wimbledon or a Grand Slam and I have tipped her the last 2 Wimbledons, so i expect it to happen again. She deserves a GS title. Been too consistant for too long to not have * next to her name
In saying that, I am looking at Bencic and getting worried about that potential 4th round against Barty. She is looking like that awesome talent she was when she was younger.
Because she has doubles later in the day.At least Ash is first up on CC tomorrow.
What, that he accepts his own underperforming mediocrity and waste of talent? Whacking down the occasional 220Km/hr second serve, or derping an underarm ace, are useless if you lose in the second round, even if he got paid multies for it and is lauded by his antic-loving fans."So there's a lot of things I need to improve on to get to that level that Rafa brings, Novak, Roger have been doing for so long. Just depends how bad I want it."
Love how this guy just says it as it is.
The odds for the mens side are pretty funny. The fourth best chance (Raonic) is $26 to win, and the next best is $51. Shows how many good players have already been eliminated.
GAUFF!!! I lost count of how many match points against her and she came back and won it! USA! USA! USA!
I was rooting for Kyrgios though just to spite McEnroe and his inflated ego.

It hurt and wet
