Bugger.

LLEYTON HEWITT has been drawn to meet top seed and defending champion Roger Federer in the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon championships which start on Monday.

HEWITT, the seventh seed and 2002 champion, will face a first-round clash with Austria's world No.42 JURGEN MELZER, the Australian No,1 beat in the second round at the French Open last month.

Out-of-form 11th seed MARK PHILIPPOUSSIS has been given a dream opening match against a qualifier but could meet Chile's 24th seed FERNANDO GONZALEZ in the third round.

WAYNE ARTHURS will play German FLORIAN MAYER in the first round while Australian wildcard TODD REID meets 30th seed, American VINCE SPADEA.

And Ivanisevic in between. Then Henman and Nalbandian

I've been that busy I had actually forgotten Wimbledon was coming up! That's absolute sacralige in my family! If it wasn't for Ch9's exceptional choice of song for the tv ad that caught my attention from the other room, I probably still wouldn't have realised how close it was!

With not much time to watch and keep up with it this year, all good conversation and updates from your good selves will be muchly appreciated!

I am going to go all out here.

Goran Ivanisevich to reclaim Wimbledon he won a few years back.

He's been injured a lot and I think if his body can hold up, he'll win the tournament. When he won he came under the radar and he is under the radar again this year. He will put in a good show. Mark my words.

However, Henman is playing excellent tennis at the moment so I would not be surprised if he won.

Phillippousis is not that good and he will be knocked out first round.

Federer will probably win, but I'm hoping Goran or Hewitt will win. If not them, I will be hoping Henman does.

In the women's, Molik will reach the quarter finals and then she will lose.

Mauresmo or Myskina are my tips for the women's side.

That was just from a bbc article but I obviously read it wrong because it's Lleyton who meets Goran

http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/scores/draws/ has them now

Federer starts with a wildcard, then a qualifier. Will play A.Martin, Santoro, T.Johansson or Kiefer in the third.
Srichaphan starts against Karlovic in what looks to be his only test before a Federer clash.
Moya faces a qualifier in round 1. Corretja plays Stepanek for the right to face him in the second round. Safin is the other seed in this section.
Hewitt faces Melzer, then Vliegen/Labadze before a 3rd round clash with Youzhny/Ivanisevic/Qualifier/Volandri.
Coria plays Moodie in the first round, Arthurs fights Mayer to be his second round opponent. Kucera, Ferreira and Ljubicic also in this section.
Fish has a qualifer first then plays the winner of J.Johansson and Clement. Bjorkman plays Sluiter in the opener in what looks to be a tough section of the draw.
Grosjean's first opponent is compatriot Thierry Ascione while Gambill will play Mirnyi.
Ferrero looks to have a clear run through to the fourth round, Ginepri is the other seed.
Henman plays someone with a name too long to spell in the first round. Hicham Arazi awaits him in the third round.
Philippoussis, if he can beat a qualifier in round 1, plays the winner of Davydenko and Verkerk.
Novak has a tough draw - Malisse and Haas his likely first two opponents, while in the other half of that section, Robredo has a first round date with James Blake.
Nalbandian starts against Ancic. Hrbaty v Costa a possible second rounder.
Schuettler plays Soderling then Rusedski (who plays a qualifier first). Wildcard Reid plays Spadea in the opener before meeting the winner of Mantilla and Pless
Schalken starts against British wildcard Lee Childs. Other first round matches in this group: T.Martin v Canas, Enqvist v Blanco, Chela v Burgsmuller.
Massu plays last year's surprise Alexander Popp. Andrei Pavel is the other seeded player in the group.
Roddick also starts with a qualifier with Nadal and Dent, who also starts against a qualifier, likely to be his next 2 opponents.

Serena is grouped with a Chinese girl, a qualifier, a wildcard, 2 hyphens and Serna and Daniilidou who clash in the first round
Schnyder, who I believe entered on a wildcard, is seeded 15 and starts against Morigami in another weak section of the draw.
Petrova plays Pennetta first, Martinez in the third
Capriati's likely first three opponents are Schaul, Marrero and Dechy
Mauresmo plays Kostanic in the opener. Schett and Raymond set for a second round clash.
Farina Elia is in a tough little group - Pierce, Ruano Pascual, Krasnoroutskaya, Nagyova, Strycova, Talaja and Peng
Suarez meets Perry first. Looking further ahead, Callens and Zuluaga are potential opponents.
Kuznetsova has a qualifier first up, Likhovtseva in the second, Safina in the third.
Davenport plays Randriantefy first. Three qualifiers in the other half with Loit.
Zvonareva plays Stosur first. Navratilova and Dokic are set for a second round clash
Smashnova-Pistolesi has drawn Srebotnik for a first round meeting, Weingartner plays Chladkova, Craybas plays Black, and Maleeva is the other seed.
Venus plays Mikaelian first, Shaughnessy third.
Dementieva will play Tanasugarn in the second round should they overcome their first round opponents. Molik will play the winner if she can account for Czink and the winner of Ashley/Pisnik.
Sugiyama starts against a wildcard. Rubin awaits her in the third.
Sharapova plays a qualifier first, Pratt plays a wildcard for the right to play her in the second. Bovina is the other seed, Hantuchova her likely second round opponent.
Myskina is in a group with 5 people I've never heard of. Kapros (2nd round) and Frazier (3rd) the exceptions

Please don't put any money on this. It will not happen.

Doubt it very much.

Roddick is the one to beat this year though. Think he'll go all the way.

and yes the Scud will be knocked out in the first round.

You should have learnt from your French open effort that you should never make such bold predictions.

Can't cope with the pressure. No chance.

Wouldn't surprise me

Wheeler wins in straight sets to make it 4 Aussies in each draw

Which prediction was that one? I forget.

I don't rate the Scud at all. I think he's overrated and he will go out in straight sets.
These were your predictions.

Chela will be able to finish Henman off.

Chela to win in straight sets.
Henman won the match in straight sets
Henman will win it. After winning in straight sets, it would boost his confidence up.
Henman lost his next game

Hewitt will most likely win in straight sets tonight
Hewitt lost in straight sets.

Capriati will win the women's.
Didn't win another game.

Tips tonight are!
Saurez and Capriati.
Both players lost in straight sets.

Federer is obviously the man to beat - best grasscourt game in the world - I hope he goes far, just so I can watch him play some beautiful tennis.

Federer showed up Roddick as a pretender last year. From the few recent highlights I've seen, Roddick seems to have picked up a bit of a serve-volley game...if he continues to be agressive at coming to the net, he'll be a serious chance for the title.

As usual, don't forget about Nalbandian - the Ancic 1st rd match could be tough though (just ask Hewitt).

On another note, it's sad to see Agassi out of the tournament...looks like the end is near.

As for the women's, it'll be the usual suspects: Williams sisters, Myskina & Capriati. Davenport is pretty good on grass if I'm not mistaken - if she's fully fit, I wouldn't be surprised to see her win.

Not on grass he wont, he will concentrate for these 2 weeks, put in a good run, and then dissapear until january when he announces hes getting married prior to the aussie open.

  - Danni how could you! :p :p

Wimbledon is my all time favorite - i even make sure i have a stack of stawberries for the occasion :D I watch every night and dream of one day going!

Federer or Roddick for mine :( but fingers crossed for Hewy and Marat :D

if we are going on 'wining form is good' saying then Paradorn Srichaphan should be a wildcard - he won the Nottingham Open final against Thomas Johansson 1-6, 7-6 (7/4), 6-3

lets hope there is no rain delays

With Nalbandian out, the Men's draw doesn't interest me much. Hopefully Myskina can win her second Grand Slam. If she does I believe she will move to number 2 in the world.

After tipping the 2 finalists in the mens at the french I have come back for Wimbledon.

For me, Roddick and Henman. I have a weird feeling that with all the talk on Federer winning again that it won't happen.
So for me, bets have been placed on Roddick and Henman.

Roddick's my tip. Henman will probably choke in the semis again (against Roddick). I can't see anyone stopping Federer before Hewitt in the quarters.
