It was frustrating in so many rallies, De Minaur had half volley shots but then decides to creep back to the baseline after the shot. Numerous times he fell over or loss his footing when Garin hit it back at the baseline. He needed to hit it THEN approach the net on the offensive. He’s not a great baseline player. So often he’s hitting on the back foot or sliding.
He’s trying to copy from Medevev from hitting at halfway up then retest back to the baseline.

Don't think Hewitt is necessarily saying don't miss. And it was really only the 2nd half of Hewitt's career where he would get tight and try to win by not missing.

Alex seems to have that mindset already in close matches and it's hurt him.

I was also surprised how poor his passing shots were tonight. There were a couple of awesome gets but I expect more from Alex
