Novak would rather face Nadal than face Fritz in a final on a grass court- Fritz would be a nightmare
Just beat him
Fritz or bjorn borg or Nadal's mum

It's funny, a mate of mine thinks Fritz is a bigger threat than Nick is.

I don't necessarily agree with him but a few people seem to have the same opinion. To Fritz's credit he was very good last night but he was playing a guy who had 14 cents in his bank account a few months back.

Na I agree too. Fritz is in some stunning form and his game is tailor made for grass. Comes in doing well on the lead up tournaments too.

As long as someone beats duckhead. I don't care who and no...I don't meaN Nick.
In order of who I want to beat bad djoke
Nick
Nadal
Whoevs.
Well I'd like Djokovic to win the tournament considering he wasn't allowed to compete at the AO and most likely the US.

I'd be ok with anyone winning the tournament apart from Nadal to be honest. I think Nadal will win the tournament though, he refuses to lose in slams this year.

Go back Nadal, go for your life. Got to love the people in here who only wander in here during AO and Wimbledon
Snob!
Gotta love those who go out of their way not to go for our Aussie players.
"Oh I'm watching two mediocre players on another court. I wouldn't be caught dead cheering for my own homelanders. How passe!...how gauche and vulgar! I am a real tennis fan and only real tennis fans know how to bore each other to death.":sneaky:

Oh, and I only watch tour de France and not all the other cycling events.
And
I only care about swimming during Olympics and Commonwealth games too.
Sue me!!
:roflv1::laughv1:

Interesting stat. In ten years on tour, Kyrgios has never made a grand slam semi final.

That should change tomorrow night.

Shocking choke from ADM last night sadly.

She can if she hits good shots consistently and forces Halep to defend regularly. Halep is an amazing counter attacker so she needs to keep a high level.
From memory she had Halep on the ropes at the AO a year or two ago before capitulating in the the third...just has to keep at it...

That’s not the case.
Fritz won Indian wells and can match any player on their day. Only Novak, Nadal, Sinner as capable high seeds- Fritz can beat any of the draw that’s left

I think he was pretty certain of what he wanted to say, or more to the point, not say well before he was asked anything.

Interviewer didn't seem too happy to be talking to him though.
Must say the UK tennis media are an odd bunch...

Half watching the replay of last night's Krygios match on the Tennis Channel today, it was interesting to hear the contrasting commentary style from the US boys vs what we heard live yesterday from their UK counterparts.
While most would expect them to be in favour of and supporting their fellow countryman they surprisingly were very impartial, insightful and considerate towards both players - unlike the UK boys who's obvious anti-Kryios comments and jibes were constant throughout the match..?

What, it's his first slam QF...

How are we all underrating Nadal and overrating Fritz here in this thread?

Surface more than anything, these are the types Nadal has struggled with at Wimbledon. Let me say this I’m tipping Nadal but if Fritz wins I’m not going to be too shocked. Fritz is in some form too lately

Nadal who has only lost 3 matches all year, hasn't lost a 5 set match in 2022. Somehow flies under the radar again and will probably win the title here

Krygios beat Nadal on grass at Wimbledon when he was 19, he can do it again at 27 and Nadal at 37.

Nadal has made the final at Wimbledon 5 times, winning twice and made the semis on two other occasions. He hardly struggles on the surface. Nadal is the best player in the world this year, hasn't lost a grand slam match since last year.

He should be the favourite or equal with Djokovic for the title.

Fritz is in great form, but stepping up at grand slam level in a best of 5 against a champion, he is untested. Until any player actually beats Nadal or Djokovic in a grand slam match, they go in heavy underdogs in my eyes.

Did you fill out the complex 10 page thread entry form?
