Grand Slam Wimbledon

Krygios beat Nadal on grass at Wimbledon when he was 19, he can do it again at 27 and Nadal at 37.

He can...maybe. Not sure he will because of mental stamina required.

Nadal has made the final at Wimbledon 5 times, winning twice and made the semis on two other occasions. He hardly struggles on the surface. Nadal is the best player in the world this year, hasn't lost a grand slam match since last year.

He should be the favourite or equal with Djokovic for the title.

Fritz is in great form, but stepping up at grand slam level in a best of 5 against a champion, he is untested. Until any player actually beats Nadal or Djokovic in a grand slam match, they go in heavy underdogs in my eyes.

Djokovic deserves to be the clear favourite this tournament. His game stands up way better and hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down.

You can never be too confident with Nick at any given time, you need to take it one match at a time with him. A matchup with Nadal in a semi seems like a mouthwatering contest, but we’re not there yet.

My predictions:

Djokovic in 4 sets
Norrie in 4 sets
Fritz in 5 sets
Kyrgios in 4 sets

That was a great match! Back when Kyrgios was just making waves on the professional scene and he shocked Nadal and the tennis world with that win. Many years and a lot of water under the bridge between those two since then.

Since their original match up Kyrgios has won two more times and Nadal 6. There's more pressure and expectation on Kyrgios since the two originally met and rafa has the mental edge.

Na can’t agree like the French, Novak is better on grass and comfortably. I still have Nadal reaching the final but Novak winning fairly comfortably. I’m not tipping Fritz but it’s a tougher opponent than Nick for Nadal. Mind you if you said Rafa before the year would reach a final and win two slams I’d say what strong stuff are you on. Brilliant season. He’d go to NY as the favourite (Novak is unlikely to be able to play and he’s rubbish at the US Open anyway)

Yes. We don't know. I think though that this will be enough to put Nick's slim chance of concentrating out the window once London press get hold of it. Whether he actually committed assault we can't speculate. I see some news article going back years where there have been incidents of arguing and fights in public though with this particular ex girlfriend.

The Canberra police reported it not Kyrgios as far as I know.
