Nadal was just defending by the end of the match. If he comes out like that against Nick, he’s totally done for. See how his injury pulls up.

No chance not over 5 sets. Be shocked if Nadal isn’t a warm favourite. Nick is a chance but he has to win the first set other it could be ugly
Nick will be ready for 5 sets. Has played alot of matches the past couple of weeks so his body should hold up if need be as long as he doesn't let it get him mentally. Keep the points as short as possible would be the aim and not get drawn into long rallies. 1 2 punch as much as possible.

I think that's the key, Nick needs to keep the points short and avoid long rallies with Nadal

Serve well, preserve himself when he can than engage for the big games and points. That will be how it will work if he is to win. Nadal would expect to be unsettled with the style Nick brings he loves repetition and he won't get that against Nick.

This what Nick wanted. Your gonna see Nick like we have never seen him before. Based on his comments post QF he knows he actually has a real shot at winning this thing. Laser like focus and engagement is what we should expect and if this occurs were going to be in for a hell of a match.
I didn't see the press conference but I absolutely loved seeing NK take a seat moments after winning his QF. I've never seen him like that before... Just him taking it all in and reflecting on what he has just achieved (his first Slam SF). He looks incredibly focused and for the first time ever I can actually see how much this means to him.

I don't always agree with the way he goes about things, but I've recently come to gain an understanding of why he acts the way he does. I've gained a fair bit of respect and appreciation for him.

I'm 100% in his corner and I'll be praying he gets past Rafa and takes it up to Novak.

Interesting speech. He’s not growing up is he!?
I have mixed views about Nick Kyrgios.

Glad he is in a grand salmt semi final for the 1st time in his career.

His off field behaviour is questionable though. He has a Court case for an alleged assault or domestic violence charge when je returns to Oz

Just watched Nadals presser. Sounds like he’s only 50/50 to even play.

He won’t quit not when he can have a huge rest after this tournament. He’ll be out there fighting till the last point

No doubt Rafa isn't 100% but he likes to play up how badly injured he is to lure his opponents into a false sense of security.

He will be right to go for the semi and will be tough to beat as usual.

Hopefully Kyrgios finds 'public dignity' won't diminish his flair on court: Kenny
Australian tennis ace Nick Kyrgios will hopefully find that great sportsmanship and public dignity won't do anything to diminish his flair on the court, says Nick Kyrgios has been charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
The 27-year-old is due to face court in Canberra next month.
The maximum sentence for common assault is two years in jail.

“ACT Policing can confirm a 27-year-old Watson man is scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on the 2nd of August in relation to one charge of common assault following an incident in December 2021,” police said on Tuesday.
Barrister Jason Moffett told the Canberra Times that Kyrgios was aware of the charge.
“It’s in the context of a domestic relationship,” Mr Moffett said.
“The nature of the allegation is serious, and Mr Kyrgios takes the allegation very seriously.
“Given the matter is before the court ... he doesn’t have a comment at this
Brah… he is the GOAT. Federer isn’t even second best. Novak is. Don’t be silly
Fed and Rafa will always be unparalleled champs of this sport.
Defined an age we were privileged to witness.
Don't sully that by talking of he who shall not ne named.

Stayed awake until last set
Didn't know who would win.
Tbh I was thrilled it is Rafa.
Although I thought Fritz was fantastic last night.

Nadal injured and feeling unsure, anyone else I’d say gone…but there is no one else like him in terms of pushing through and fighting it out.
This is going to be absolutely unmissable and epic.
I think Nick. Rafa had to give so much for that game last night.
I hope Nick doesn't make it embarrassing. Sorry...too embarassing.

it's a strange situation, especially with his on court behaviour and court case.

I think the draw has worked in his favour without Cilic, Berrettini and Russian players competing at Wimbledon this year

Australian media are calling Nadal a primma Donna...
****ing lol

36 years old, a punishing 4 hour 20 minute 5 set match which he obviously wasn’t 100% fit for, against a firing 24 year old…and he finds the strength mentally and physically to win. After the game he admits he has some body issues, according to reports an abdominal injury causing him great pain.

What a Prima Donna!

If Nadal does play, Kyrgios needd to hit a heap of drop shots. If he had a coach, his coach would tell him this.

Needs to attack the backhand of Nadal flat. Fritz had this really brainless idea of attacking Nadal's FH which never works

That's what I said!
