Djokovic and Medvedev definitely aren't the most popular players on tour either (even before Novax) - even if they don't have same reputation as Kyrgios.
Federer set a golden standard of what a champion should look like - and it's hard for these guys who have a more combative personality to live up to.
True, but Federer was a brat in his early days as well yet people are willing to overlook that in the same vein that Novak and Medvedev don't get their reactions and their behaviours analysed every press conference like Kyrgios does. He has a point when he says that there's a double standard and that he's typecast as the villain in every circumstance.

Poor from Stef post game creating these bullying narratives out of salt.

Has become quite the mental midget.
He does bully the umpires.

Nick is Nick. Take the bad with the good and the good with the bad. He isn't going to change. I live with it and the circus. I dont like how he does bully the umpire but he is fun to watch. Nick is a very good chance to go v.deep now. He needs to keep playing on court 1/CC. He struggled on the outside court in his first match with how slow it was.

Cornet is a bitch to play against if you are a top player off your game. Loves a good upset old Alize. Womens draw is wide wide open.

I am on Ons and what a story that would be. A North African Woman winning Wimbledon. Geech, that is in 30 for 30 territory.

Federer was a brat as a teenager and he grew up and he grew out of it. Novak and Medvedev and plenty of the others have had their momenta, but don’t behave as consistently badly as Kygrios.

Swiatek isn’t so good on grass yet, and she was definitely ready for a loss.
It has been a while since a player on the womens side has won the French Open and then went deep at Wimbledon. Its not easy. Novak and Nadal have made this look easy but it is historically very hard.

Swiatek didn't play any warm-up tournaments before Wimbledon. Certainty is a hinderance.

Yep- agree. And as you say, it’s wide open - several in good form- Jabeur, Halep, Badosa, Anismova, Ostapenka… it’s going to be interesting.

I thought it was that he was a bully but he didn't say it was a player or official. I only listened to a podcast about it and that is what they thought. I dont have a transcript with me
"It's constant bullying, that's what he does. He bullies the opponents. He was probably a bully at school himself."

Hate on his antics sure, but don't sit there creating a BS narrative right after you lose.

Poor form from Stef, and that's coming from a fan of his.

Tsitipas is a mentally fragile weakling.

Needed to play a warmup. Feel she played one too many leading into the French and it’s cooked her

The transition from clay to grass is the downfall. It’s not like Australian open to French where it’s 3-4 months of practice. Almost better off just hitting with coach/partner and focusing on fitness rather then competitive matches in the lead up to Wimbledon.

I cant stand Kyrgios behavior, what he did last night, should see him booted from the tournament, you cant bully a umpire for a whole match and get away with it. I think every time that a player yells at an umpire it should be automatic code violation, need to stamp it out. Nick did enough to get defaulted from the match last night, should walk away from wimbledon with $0 prize money and have a fine on top of that as well and a suspension, stupid behaviour and dont need a generation growing up thinking thats ok
