Gotta feel for the bloke a bit. What he cops is harsh literally because he is just so good. The Wimmera is lucky to have someone as talented as him running around each week. The attention obviously gets to him a lot but geez it would be annoying having to deal with that each week while just trying to play footy.

That is true but if racial remarks being said by him to opposition is true there’s no place for that

I don’t think he goes about it the right way. Belts kids and belittles opposition players and he plays extra dirty. Don’t get me wrong he is a deadset superstar, he should still be playing at the top level.
Needs to clean his game up and become a good citizen.

Doesn’t set a good example for younger kids and id argue that’s been seen in junior levels this year

Not one bit.

There have been plenty of super players in this comp over the years that have copped the same attention as him, without carrying on like an absolute pork chop.

What players come to mind that have copped the same attention as him?
 
What should happen with this situation then is your opinions? A lengthy ban that hopefully makes him see that people are beginning to tire of him behaving like this?
 
On watching the replay, it skips the incident prior to 4th quarter start and first thing you see is him getting yellow carded. Starts walking off turns around and does some pointing, walks off and has words towards the interchange bench/league officials area. Walks off and comes back for seconds. About 10 seconds later you hear a bang of him punching the bench.

Not ideal behaviour but I think it’s probably what was said that’s the worst part. Have only heard from SMT players what was said so take that with a grain of salt.

If it’s racial abuse then it needs to be an 8 week minimum. I’ve heard mixed stories, umpire abuse being one. If a player has to be removed from the ground with a red card then there has to be a suspension.

Hosking will be pulling out all the stops on this one, he’s half the problem to be honest. He allows and supports this behaviour, could have nipped this in the bud long ago but it’s spilled over and this is the result. He’s afraid Tom will go elsewhere if he pulls him up.

Watch that disappear…… we’re going to see the true colours of the Wimmera League officials this coming week. If there’s anymore room left under the rug, then I think we’ll see it swept there

Few of the thunder boys got under he’s skin by asking him how he can work at a prison in Ararat when he probably should be in one for those stalking charges.

Sounds like the Thunder identified the chink in his armor. That won’t take long to circulate amongst the competition.
I hope for Tom’s sake they bring in another coach with him for next year, he needs an older cool head to steady the ship. All hell could break loose in a game if he’s got the reins and has another flip out like yesterday.

The umpires have clearly had enough
