Collingwood Anything under a 5 goal loss would be nice
Adelaide Crows As above
Melbourne Hope we smash them
Carlton Anything under a 5 goal loss would be nice
St Kilda Anything under a 5 goal loss would be nice
Port Adelaide Hope we smash them, again

In my book of wishful thinking, that's 4 possible wins. I'd simply be happy to see the team continue to improve week by week. Even if we lost every game from here on in.

A nice bonus would be Jack the Rippa getting the Coleman medal.

After the last 6 weeks you'd think we'd be confident of matching Carlton and Adelaide. You are still suffering negative vibes of the last 30 years. We are every chance of beating those teams. Melbourne will be just as hard as those 2

If we don't make the 8 no one will complain but remember we are a footy club first and foremost. Footy clubs, at least those with the pride to compete and not cheat the system like the Tankton Blueboys should always be aiming to win and qualify.

Can we beat North? Yes. If we do we roll into the G R17 with the Tiger Army turning Collingwood's homer into a neutral finals like 50/50 in the stands and onfield. Can we beat them? Yes. If we do so are we a chance? Yes.

May not happen. Probably won't but if it did it would be fantastic. Either way we are getting stronger all the time and will be feared by everyone next year. Sneaking a finals place along the way would be the icing on the cake.

Correct. There's only a 10% chance of making it at best but if we win our next 2 our chances will be more like 50%

He did no such thing.

He admitted to being conflicted and not trying as hard as he could to win one specific game by not making moves to improve the teams fortune in one half of football.


No connection whatsoever to the efforts of Carltank, West Coast & Melbourne over the last 5 years.


Efforts such as Jamar playing on N Brown or Carltank kicking something like 2.12 in a quarter of football in R22 of that same year as the game Wallace was referring to are what tanking and a losing culture is all about, not what went on in that specific game against St Kilda.

Wins aren't vital, we should run every team very close, but we don't have to win.

Except Collingwood, they will destroy us. Same with St Kilda. I want us to get within 5 or 6 goals of them.

I feel St Kilda will just do what they need to, they are like Geelong after their breakout year, they won't go out to punish us. They'll just get the 4 points.

Collingwood are having their breakout year, in that they are serious contenders for the flag, and they will be out to destroy us.

I will be disappointed if we don't win a couple of the remaining games, but I just want the losses to be close enough that on another day we could win. ie. <3 goals.

Young bodies will slow down, we are a young team which also won't be able to stay up and win 10 of 12 or whatever.

Im loving this season and its great for development
but to dismiss any negativity with "Living in the past" Like were having a killer successful year is ridiculous

You don't think it's negative saying we will be lucky to get within 5 goals of Adelaide? We'll probably start favorites. Carlton are up and down like Sydney. They're not good enough to think we'll struggle to get within 5 goals. Quite beatable

As for treating our game against Collingwood as a mini-final... that's just asking for Collingwood supporters to jump on here and start going on with their stock standard line of "Every team treats games against Collingwood as a final" bla bla bla.

I just hope the boys continue to play confident football in which they support each other and continue to take the game on. Like everyone, I am loving the wins... not for the 4pts, and the potential to climb the ladder. Simply just to see the team sing the song, and to get to hear/sing the song myself. Nothing better than hearing X number of tigers fans yelling "Yellow & Black".

I dare to say it (and knock on wood that this doesn't happen), but having been so reliant on Jack for the past 8 or so weeks, he is bound to be stopped sometime soon. Whether that means he only kicks 2 or 3, we will be reliant on our other fwds and mids getting on the scoreboard. Personally, I don't think it will happen this week... but his biggest test is bound to come on the big stage against Collingwood next Saturday. Big stage being saturday night at the G, not because its against the pies =)
