Since most of us are starting threads that are not footy related, I thought I would start one too!

O.K., Does ANYBODY know how to make Winamp Skins? and I mean skins made WITHOUT using skinners since they look like crap!!

Thanks, CJ

It's tedious; you have to put it together like a puzzle using numerous small .bmp files that all have specific names. Look in an existing skin subfolder and note all the filenames and sizes and their position. You also have a "numerals" file.

The best way to probably do it is to go ahead and make a full skin graphic, then divide it up into the correct pieces.

For any WCE fans in here I did find an already-made weagles skin at this link, but I don't think it's that good:

i also find some other AFL skins on winamp!
check it out winamp.com

hey stealth bomber. I went to your skin and i saved it to my hard drive, but i cant work out how to open it.
This is what i did step by step and can you tell me what i did wrong:
1. i clicked on the photo to download it.
2. i saved it to disk
3. i clicked on the win zip file WestCoastAmp and unzipped the file
4. it saved to a different location.
But i can only open seperate bitmap files, like balance or cbutton etc,. I can not see the skin as a whole so what am i doing wrong.

WCE2000,

Once you download the skin, you need to put the zip file into the winamp directory on your computer. To find the directory open My computer, then C: Drive, then Program Files, then Winamp and the open the Folder labeled Skins. Put the zip file there. Also, you don't need to unzip the file, just leave it zipped.
