Apart from one startup issue(think its BIOS related) I can't wait for the full release of 7 :) My RTM has been absolutely sweet.....

Oops, better keep it low key though, we all know how ANAL those Apple Mac guys get ;)

You guys should download the new build and try it out.

dont know if its been mentioned but pc authority has a copy of windows 7 release candidate on this months cover disk, for those who dont want to download.

been running it for a couple of months now and the pc has never been running faster or smoother, especially my buffering issues i had on vista with youtube,

internet speed is also up.

cant wait for our free copy at work.

if you want to save on the windows 7 price, check out the vista packages being sold with windows 7 easy upgrade offers on em might save a few bucks.

Microsoft Australia have also released details of the upgrade scheme.

Basically whatever version of Vista you buy now will get you the equivilent version of Windows 7 for the cost of postage.

So that's an admission from M$ as to how shit Vista actually was?

And to think of the arguments I had with M$ fanboys (not here) back when it was first released!

(apologies to any fanboys, the last thing I want is to get into another argument over OS' :D)

No that is the standard thing they do every time they release a new OS.

Never was a big fan on Microsoft and their Windows software other than Windows 95, but with Windows 7 they have really gone all out to make this product top notch. Am very surprised/happy with the performance, stability etc, kudos to Microsoft.

why do all the people who complain about new os never realise the finer points of them, those that are using windows 7 will attest to the sluggishness disappearing from its old counterpart vista.

as for the vista vs windows xp i could never understand the outcry of vista cos most people who hated or disliked it, couldnt be bothered to learn the difference, or were told not to touch it by incompetent it guys.

again never had hassles with it except now i see where the resources of my pc spent most of there time.

my prediction is windows 7 will have the same amount of niegh sayers, because they cant hack change.

any one found any bugs so far with 7, ive only had some bluetooth connection trouble as im using a vista keyboard driver for my logitech combo

I tried it quickly. Got it going.

Have you made sure you put the right password that it gives you, on the 2nd pc.

Yeah you create it on one comp. It will then give you a crazy password that you put on the second one to get it connected.

Yeah I understand the process but the area where you put the password in isn't where it's supposed to be. There's no 'Join a home group' button that the help file says there is.

Can't hack change? Ha. Before I go any further I would like to say outright that I hate M$ products. Not just a general dislike but genuine hate.

I don't use M$ products (I am currently running OpenSUSE11) and I highly doubt I ever will.

And before you so "Oh but you're an I.T. guy and you have the know how to learn a new OS" there is a saying I'd like to quote "Don't knock it unless you have tried it." And I don't mean "Yeah I tried it back in high school 12 years ago", I mean if you are prepared to install Windows7 before its even released you should be prepared to try a Linux install too.

Want to know the cost for a Linux OS? $0.

Want to know the cost of OpenOffice (That does EVERYTHING MS Office Does? $0.

Want to know what the cost will be next year for the upgrades? $0.

Its free. And it works. And I can change my OS however many times I like and it'll still be free.

If you say "I couldn't be bothered to learn the difference" then I would take your quote from above and put it here again.....

couldnt be bothered to learn the difference

Microsoft lovers really need to open their eyes.
