You can add Bernie Vince to that list as well, his injury brings us back up to 14 again - we just can't seem to shorten the list. :(

The good news is that we have 5 players listed as "test" - Johncock, Knights, Mackay, Symes & Talia. How many will pass their test? Your guess is as good as mine.

The club seem to be taking their time working out the extent of Thompson's injury. He injured himself last Friday and he's still listed as "TBC" as of today.

i thought i posted on here 4 weeks ago....Knights is out for the season, why do the club keep saying test?

From the AFL site today

Forward Chris Knights will be out of the selection race for at least another two weeks after stalling in his recovery from plantar fasciitis.

So who knows what that means. If he's not right maybe just wrap him up in cotton wool until pre-season 2011.

Firstly, the good news. The list has shrunk from 14 down to 10 this week. Johncock is listed as "test", but he still has his 1-week suspension to serve.

Now, the bad news. Almost all of them are longer term injuries, with 5 out of 10 being 6+ week return dates.

Latest Injury Update from the AFC website:

Nathan Bock (adductor): Test
Phil Davis (concussion/shoulder): TBC
Andrew McLeod (knee): TBC
Bernie Vince (ankle): Test
Shaun McKernan (quad): Test
Chris Knights (foot, plantar fasciitis): Indefinite
Brett Burton (knee): TBC
Trent Hentschel (knee): 1-2 weeks
James Craig (hamstring): 2 weeks
Will Young (knee): 5 weeks
Brad Moran (knee): indefinite
Brodie Martin (knee): indefinite
Andy Otten (knee): season

Still 13 players on the injury list - more than we had last week.

There is some good news for Phil Davis:
Davis was yesterday cleared of a broken collarbone but has an AC joint sprain and concussion.

In keeping with a season long tradition, we still have 13 players on our injury list this week, according to the latest update on the AFC website:

David Mackay (ankle): TBC
Nathan Bock (adductor): Test
James Sellar (knee strain): 2-3 weeks
Andrew McLeod (knee): TBC

Does Sellar get scared every time looks like getting a spot in AFL or close to establishing himself .
Really dont know why we would keep Moran and Sellar surely Crows patience must be running out with them .
Lets face it made a error in keeping Trent on and he was 10 times the player these guys could be . Maybe 10 times is stretching it a bit.
Maybe have to keep one and maybe Sellar will get benefit of promise AGAIN

I count 8 on the list from our best 22 from the start of the year.
Includes a pretty decent forward line to.
The replacements are doing well.....

Douglas
Symes
Sloane

Reilly
Armstrong
Walker
Hendo
Jaensch
Davis
Griffin

None of the above were in my best 22 at the start of the year but I wouldnt drop the players highlighted for anyone on the injury list.
So round 1 next season will be tough to fit them all in (even allowing for the retirements).

A bit rough on Sellar and Moran, craig crowing, we had no idea last year that they would spend the majority of this season injured, and both of them played some quality AFL football at various stages throughout 2009 (as well as some, well, not quality football at other stages :o).

No way both of them will go. One maybe, but I'll bet both are kept on.

I think time has increased many posters perceptions how well Sellar and Moran played last year and how many good moments they had.
However Crows have been patient with Sellar and is a big unit that has some ability and other posters seen more of him than I have at SANFL still think something to offer .
So I will nominate and forecast that Moran will be delisted or traded if able . Not really done enough in between countless injury setbacks and think had that reputation when traded him from Roos. And my connections at Westies dont rate him highly either .
Cmstab willing to have a wager on this occurring

Name your stakes cc :D

Ok then try a 6 pack or good bottle of red delivered to designated address and a post to the winner telling them how footy smart they are.;)

Deal - but I'll be out of the country when delistings occur so we'd need to keep it in mind for the future.

Unless you don't mind mailing to the states :D

Yes I can be patient in receiving or in the unlikely case can be patient in sending .
Just want the Big Footy post within 48 hrs thats all thanks;)

Firstly, the bad news - the AFC's latest injury update still has 15 players on the injured list:

Injury list
David Mackay (ankle): 3 weeks
Jonathon Griffin (ankle): Test
Nathan Bock (adductor): Test
Andrew McLeod (knee): TBC
Chris Knights (foot): Test
Brett Burton (knee): Test
Matthew Jaensch (head knock): Test
James Sellar (knee): one week
Trent Hentschel (hamstring): 2 weeks
James Craig (hamstring): indefinite
Will Young (knee): Test
Sam Shaw (back): Indefinite
Brad Moran (knee): indefinite
Andy Otten (knee): season
Daniel Talia (knee): season

Now the good news - 6 of those 15 are listed as "test", with Knights, Burton, Bock and Young all set to resume next week (presumably most returning via the SANFL). Griffin is likely to miss just the one week, while Sellar is only 1 week away from returning.

Finally some good news... The injury list is down to 11 players - and two of those are listed as "available" so you can scrub them from the list. By my reckoning this is the first time we've had an injury list in single digits all season:

Macca should come straight back into the side (giving Armstrong a well earned SANFL break). It's going to be VERY interesting to see what decision they make regarding Bock.
