Excellent news!

Davis or Stevens?
davis has been solid, stevens patchy... id leave davis in... and stevens can play the stinker to end all stinkers on occasion

Time to update, Vader! Please. :)

List down to 8 INCLUDING Burton and Henschel on test - and Moran finally with a date: 4 weeks!

Wow. Moran has been the forgotten man this year due to injury. Hopefully he can have a really solid off-season and push Maric or Griffo for a ruck position next year.

which rookie was upgraded for Moran's LTI?
Vader? Help?

Our three current upgraded rookies are Schmidt, Henderson and Jaensch. I don't know which one is against what, but the three spaces they fill (I think ) are the free second half of the season one, Ottens and I believe Talia, who went off for season ending surgery around the break.

You may be right that an upgrade was marked against Moran's LTI early in the season, but I don't think either he or Martin have been involved since the break.

never mind, just looked it up on this board and google.
Martin - Schmidt
Otten - Jaensch
Moran - Henderson
does this mean Henderson has to be demoted to the rookie list once Moran is off the LTI? or does that new rule about clubs allowed to upgrade 1 rookie for free after mid-season allow us to keep Henderson on the senior list...and demote Schmidt once Martin is off the LTI, or has Schmidt already been demoted?

From Round 11 onwards we're allowed to play a rookie.

Also, since then Petrenko, Talia and someone else? would have been added to the LTI so Hendo could be added for them.

I think you will find that was the initial upgrade information. After the mid-season break the list upgrades were re-negotiated.

As previously discussed, this week's update officially takes us back into single digits:
Brett Burton (ankle): Test
Jared Petrenko (foot): TBC
Trent Hentschel (hamstring): Test
James Craig (hamstring): season
Sam Shaw (back): 1-2 weeks
Brad Moran (knee): 4 weeks
Andy Otten (knee): season
Daniel Talia (knee): season

Hentschel is hoping for some SANFL action this week, Moran is now listed as 4 weeks away (a distinct improvement on "indefinite").

In answer to the previous questions... Henderson was promoted after Moran was put on the LTI list. Normally this would mean that he'd have to return to the rookie list, along with Schmidt who should have gone back when Martin started playing again.

However, we have had 2 "new" long term injuries (Talia & Petrenko). Presumably the AFC will be lodging paperwork to get one or both put on the LTI list sooner rather than later. We're also allowed one "freebie", with one rookie allowed to be promoted without an associated LTI listed player since R12. In short, assuming the AFC haven't fallen behind with their paperwork then we shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Is Porplyza a chance for this week? If not when can we expect him back?
Porplyzia was dropped for the return of David Mackay, so he's not injured and is available for selection this week. i thought his form over the past 2 weeks (after returning from being dropped initially) was pretty competitive, but i guess it wasn't up to standard. now with other guys like Knights and Bock also pushing for selection, and no new injuries, it's hard to say when and if he will return at all.

Winged Crows prior to round 18...

Trent Hentschel (hamstring) available
Brett Burton (ankle) test
Simon Goodwin (ankle) test
Chris Knights (side strain) test
Andrew McLeod (knee) 1-2 weeks
Brad Moran (knee) 3 weeks
Sam Shaw (back) indefinite
James Craig (hamstring) season
Andy Otten (knee) season
Jared Petrenko (foot) season
Daniel Talia (knee) season

So we're at the point where Brad Moran won't have played a game of footy in 2010.:thumbsd:
Might get a couple of games for westies towards the end of the year, but then won't have played enough games to qualify for the SANFL finals.

R20 Injury Update
ADELAIDE
Brett Burton (ankle) - test
James Craig (hamstring) - season
Patrick Dangerfield (hand) - test
Simon Goodwin (ankle) - indefinite
Andrew McLeod (knee) - indefinite
Brad Moran (knee) - 1 week
Andy Otten (knee) - season
Jared Petrenko (foot) - season
Sam Shaw (back) - indefinite
Daniel Talia (knee) - season
With 3 rounds remaining it's probably safe to assume that "indefinite" means the same as "season". Sadly, that means we've already seen the final games from Goodwin & Mcleod. No doubt they will be given a motorcade farewell around Football Park ahead of the Saints game in R22, but we'll never see them in Crows colours ever again. :(

Moran should be back for R21 - but will the club bother playing him? With just 2 SANFL rounds remaining at that point they can't qualify him for the finals. Is there any point in playing just 2 SANFL games at the end of the season?

Hahaha, poor Brad Moran:(

Depending on how vicious the cull is going to be towards the end of the year it probably is worth playing him.
