On the latest update of injuries on the AFL site, Massie is now injured as a 'test' with a wrist injury. Are we randomly smacking our guys with crowbars just to toughen them up or something?

Hinge isn't on the list either - is he just about ready to go again?

Don't know about Massie ????

Hinge still had his cast on when I saw him about 10 days ago.....

I'll put them both down as a test.......:thumbsu:

MD I saw Hinge last Wednesday and he had just had the cast taken off and resumed training with the main group.

He seemed alright 7 days ago and I think he played for the Bays on the weekend. ;)

Adelaide captain Mark Ricciuto has recovered from neck soreness and is likely to train next week.

Ricciuto’s neck complaint was related to the epidural used to treat his back, but has improved after further treatment.

Crows coach Neil Craig said Ricciuto’s injured back will be assessed when he returns to training.

“As far as his back is concerned, we won’t know (much more) until he actually gets into some work,” Craig said. “That will be the test for Mark. I can sit here and say (he’ll be back) next week or so, but what you guys need to see is some action. And that’s what we need to see as well. Until that happens, I can’t give any more information.”

Craig expects Ricciuto to play a significant role in Adelaide’s side this season however will not rush the Brownlow medallist.

“I am sure he’ll still be a very, very influential player this year,” he said. “What we won’t do is rush Mark Ricciuto back into the team until he is actually ready to perform. Not just run out. All indications are at the moment is that he should be back into training next week.”

Scott Welsh has recovered from a bruised heel and is a likely starter for Sunday’s clash with the Bombers.

“He’ll have to get through tomorrow but from Wednesday’s session, which was a tough session, all indications are that he got through and his heel is as good as it has been,” Craig said.

Craig is confident Adelaide is well prepared for the season opener.

“To the best of our ability our preparation has been thorough,” he said. “The attitude that we’ll take onto the ground on Sunday will be very positive and aggressive. Hopefully we play good enough footy to win.”

still not conclusive but its good signs

How did Hudson pull up?

His right leg was twisted under him with 2 minutes to go when he attempted to spoil Lucas?

He walked off the ground without a limp so that looked promising. Hopefully he doesn’t have any side effects from the injury when he cools down.

see Jericho is going to be back - speedy small forward problem fixed

I was under the impression that the AFC was not going to play him as a forward line option?

Could be wrong but wasn’t he being groomed to play on a half back or wing?

But I like Luke Jericho and think his pace could become very handy in the forward line.

Lets hope Luke gets a game. Clearly he needs at least one more opportunity to show everyone that he can not play football at this level.

Geez, whats it gonna take.
