Mad Dog - you can take out Bassett from page 1 now :thumbsu:

For some reason I'm feeling more confident about the Dog's game as each day passes. I'm not convinced we'll win, but I think it will be a contest.

(What subliminal message?)

Edit - You beat me to it...

Has anyone heard if Ken McGregor is ready to start training on Easter Monday the 9th of April?

I guess then when he resumes training with the main group the fans can gauge when he is likely to return so I'll keep checking on here for the updates.

Jen he has started his running late last week and this week. He reported at half time on Sunday that he should be starting work with the main group later this week. :) Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed that all goes well for him. He seemed to be in a very chipper mood during the interview.

So he should be, If I got a free trip to Melbourne to watch the Crows play I would be pretty bloody happy.

Question is

How long until we are forced to forfeit a game due to not having enough fit players?

That time will never come. As long as VB is okay, we have enough players to fill a squad. :p

Actually it's an interesting point, I can't recall that this has ever happened. There's probably some sort of emergency measure in place to prevent a forfeit, like a further list of SANFL players that are able to be called upon or something like that.

As far as I know, no club has yet been in that position.

With lists of 38, plus another 6 supplementary players (mixture of veterans & rookies), you would need to have more than half your list out injured before you were forced to forfeit.

Surely they would let you field an 18 man team if it came down to it. (no subs...).

I am sure they would let you elevate Rookies in exceptional circumstances.

After Port was giving every second player operations at the end of last year, I think they only had 24 fit players to choose from in Rd 21 or 22.

You'd have to be low on the totem pole not to get chosen too. Suck it Shattock.
