Dunno haven't heard as yet. He had scans today on the shoulder.

A mate was sitting next to a club official on the plane back. He told him that when they saw him leave in an ambulance on the way to hospital, they thought his season was over. Very surprised to see him on the plane wearing a sling. Hope it's only bruising.

Ian Perrie and Brent Reilly are likely to be unavailable until after the mid-season break.

A CATscan on Monday morning revealed an undisplaced fracture in Perrie’s scapula (shoulder blade). At this stage there is no timeframe for his return but he will not play in the next two rounds against Geelong and the Kangaroos before the bye.

And Reilly, who on Saturday rolled the same ankle he hurt earlier in the season, will miss this week’s game and is highly unlikely for the Gold Coast trip.

Four Crows came off the injury list on the weekend. James Sellar, John Meesen, John Hinge and Richard Douglas all played in the SANFL.

David Mackay, who had a setback with his hamstring earlier last month, will train this week but the club is taking a cautious approach to his return to playing and at this stage he will not be cleared to play until next week.

Darren Pfeiffer (ill) is improving and will increase his training load with a view to returning the following week.

Not being a smart ass but how are we meant to know mate?

The timeframe on injuries this season have been a bit like that; if the report suggest he should miss 3 week then we automatically know it will be double that and then you may be getting close.

But WTF knows anymore.

Reilly - ankle - 2 weeks - (Round 12 or 13)
Burton - Knee operation - 4 weeks - (Round 14)

We missed these two yesterday. Add to that, Goody and Roo had little impact due to injury, we're definitely testing our midfield depth.

News

Scans have confirmed Crows midfielder Simon Goodwin has a low grade medial ligament sprain of his left knee.

Goodwin, injured in the first quarter against Geelong on Sunday, is unsure of how many games, if any, he will miss.

“It is too early to tell,” he said. “It will be assessed later in the week and if there’s any risk, I won’t take it.”

The "if any" sounds promising, hopefully doesnt rush back and risk more damage.

He can't be too bad. Didn't he come back on for a brief period at the start of the second quarter?

Yes but he clearly wasn't right (or he'd have stayed on). They shouldn't risk him at all IMO - he is too important for us to lose. We need him fit and firing for the second half of the season.
