Injury Update

Channel 9 just said Matty Bode is a chance to return against the Eagles? Surely not. In today’s paper he’s still listed as being 5 weeks away which seems about right. So what are Channel 9 on about?

Meanwhile Channel 10 said that Rhett Biglands aims to play this year, but when asked about this Craigy basically shot it down and said it’s unlikely. But I wouldn’t rule out Rhett playing in the SANFL later in the year.

And Simon Goodwin is still only 50/50 for next week’s clash with West Coast. I hope this injury doesn't keep him out for 3-4 games.

Winged Crows is a good thread but why is every injury update merged into here? I think separate threads can be created and not be moved into one gigantic thread which this one potentially could become.

Why would Perrie be the automatic inclusion that he seems to be made out?

He's not in my First XXII at the moment.

Plus there's the fact that he is like Burton and always needs a few games to find form after a lay-off.

Burton always performs whenever he comes back. Him and Perrie are opposites in that way.

Because otherwise the same thing gets posted on multiple threads.

AFC rate Perrie as an automatic selection in their XXII. I can't say I disagree with them.

Burton usually takes longer than Perrie to adjust after injury ... but also should be an automatic inclusion when fit.

I think this will answer many questions about who is and who isnt in the best 22

I think Perrie may get 1 or 2 games at Norf. Should he play SANFL this week to get a head start on his fitness?

Or you lose track of information because you don't know which page the latest info is on...
Later posts on later pages usually give you the latest information sourced around the traps.

Also, MD updates the injury list on the 1st page on a weekly basis.

At least this way most posters no where to reference.

Where are people getting this chain of thought from? Burton is one of the few players who performs very well in their first game back, even from an extended layoff.

Perrie takes an eternity.

Given Craig said Perrie will come straight back into the side when fit, I reckon he won't come back through the Roosters.

Burton has had some shockers coming baack from injury & usually takes a while to regain his touch.

Hmmmm well I don't agree. He looked good in the PF last year and I think he even made the comment that he's normally a good contributor on return. I guess we'll know a little more when he returns next time.

Hopefully he is getting better at with experience.

Sorry it's the opposite .....being an athlete first ...he takes a few games to get in the groove .

I do agree Perrie is also bad when returning from injury ....probably because he relies a lot on his aeorobic capacity to outrun/last his opponents ......coming back from injury which restricys his running also tends to reduce his effectiveness .....he doesn't have a lot of tricks to his game.
