I think we've all been fooled by seeing his name in the 22 for the Kangaroos game, which was ridiculous. I remember when he did it vs Geelong, after the match they said "it's a 5-week injury". So it will be 5 weeks next week and he should be ready for the St Kilda game.

God I hate it so much when clubs stuff around with fans and punters. Why wouldnt they come out and say its 4 week injury straight out?! Most likely all the other clubs know whats going on with him.

Goodwin still unavailable to play. Bugger.
Incorrect.

Reid expects Goodwin, Burton, Reilly & McLeod all to be available. Perrie will miss another week, which is why he mentioned Sellar as a possible in.

Am I the only one who thought Burton didn’t look a great deal fitter than he did before the surgery?

Yes it was his first game back, but to be honest I don’t really want these mediocre performances each week. If he’s going to go into each game with limitations then it’s not worth it. We’ll see I guess…

On the contrary I was happy with the way Burton moved.

His trademark is that he takes a while to get going after injury, yet he was more than useful yesterday and moved freely IMO.

Glad to have him back as he'll improve week by week.

Spot on Macca - I have been one previously who has thought that it takes a bit for Burton to get up to speed with the game but his first possession last night was very nice - hit one of our forwards on the chest from memory. :D

Yeah, I thought Burton played better than I was expecting, given he usually struggles 1st game back. He covered plenty of ground on his wing & looked to be moving OK.

Porplyzia has been ruled out for 2 weeks.

Will Sarge be available, as I think we need another tall defender against the Saints?

Adelaide’s Bernie Vince is to have minor knee surgery and will miss about four games.

Vince, who has been in great form in the past month with Woodville-West Torrens, hurt his right knee early in Saturday’s SANFL game at Thebarton Oval.

He will have arthroscopic surgery tomorrow to repair a tear in the lateral cartilage and should be ready to start running in a fortnight.

Vince has played six AFL games this season for a career total of ten.

Disappointing for Vince. He's been in superb form in the Snaffle for about 4 weeks now.

Along with Douglas, he was just waiting for an injury to create another chance for him in the big time.

bernie vince out for month

From the Age website

"Fringe Adelaide forward Bernie Vince will have surgery on an injured knee and miss the next AFL four games.
Vince, who has played six AFL games this season, tore cartilage in his right knee playing for SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens on Saturday.
The Crows said on Tuesday Vince would have arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday to repair a tear in the lateral cartilage and would be sidelined a month."

its truly a unlucky situation for the bloke even if its only a few weeks, he was stringing a few games together and good ones at that, and i'm sure this week he probably would have been given a chance to prove himself at training for a gig in the seniors this weekend. i truly feel for him!!!

hope he gets better soon, p.s is it the same knee that he did last year or the other one?
