Castore has shot them selves on the gooty here. We might see out our contract but I doubt many other clubs will be lining up for them in the future.

This is now bordering on outright lying to people.
The club has a legally binding contract to honour with Castore and if they advertised the fact that Sekem made these, they’d be in deep sh*t. The fact that these posts are sponsored with Castore tagged as a partner, something that didn’t happen once while we were with ISC, suggests there’s a clause in the contract that stipulates the club has to advertise the Castore brand on their social media platforms.

Castore have provided uniforms, they just outsourced the manufacturing to a 3rd party because they couldn’t meet the demands.

Yes there's a contract but the Club couldn't have been so naive as to not include performance clauses, specifically around supply chain logistics when engaging an overseas manufacturer during a pandemic.

Castore might already be paying damages due to the Club's inability to adequately market the 2021 season due to these delays.

Contracts exist only until they don't. There are always exit clauses and plan Bs.

The onus would be on Ferrari to advise the public if they started rebadging Kias and selling them as Ferraris due to demand. That's an extreme example, but one all the same. Whatever has occured with these jumpers is deceptive at a minimum.

This is much more like the fact that the first Holden Astras were just rebadged Nissan Pulsars.

With apologies for suggesting we are affordable small cars.

That's fine, except they are selling retail Castore guernseys that look nothing like the on-field playing kit. There is a reasonable expectation that the retail guernseys resemble the design of the player issues - after all, you buy the guernsey to reflect your support of the team and want to match up as close as possible.

I'm not going to fault the club or Castore for going down the Sekem route if sh*t hit the fan somewhere - better to have the rebadged Sekems than play in last year's ISC with Castore stickers (as they have done with the shorts).

But to put out a puff piece video claiming these are "Castore" guernseys, when they look nothing like the retail guernsey they have been marketing for a couple of months and then delete all comments from fans on Facebook (comments which weren't rude, merely pointed out they were Sekem) is poor form in my opinion.

The video shouldn't have been made in the first place considering the circumstances, and when the Sekem connection was pointed out in the comments it should have been acknowledged by the club, not whitewashed and covered up.

Do we actually know 100% that they are Sekem or are the collars the only thing we are going off?

Could it be possible that Castore had their original design rejected by the club so they had a look at the other WA club and effectively copied how their kit looks?

Yeah fair. I just find it strange that Sekem would be happy to produce a playing kit and then plaster up their logo with another manufacturer.
I'm sure they have been paid handsomely for it, and the jumpers represent one helluva business card dropped straight on the Eagles desk. There's not much to be gained by hanging Castore and more importantly the Eagles out to dry. They'd be eyeing Premiership merchandise sales and hoping they can become our next manufacturer.
