Why so many people hating on the navy? I reckon it looks more fierce and way better than the current home one?
It also looks better than a pile of dog shit smeared on a jumper, but it's not being compared to either, it's being compared to the royal and yellow wings, and it's not nearly as good as either, so it shouldn't be worn as much as those two combined.

This is getting sufficiently low traction from the club that i'm willing to go on some sort of mob rampage outside club HQ with pitchforks....maybe torch and overturn a car or two...

As far as I know, it's not a requirement. Everyone* just chooses to go for white because it's the lightest colour.

*Not Richmond or Essendon.
Ahh ok, yeah it just seems like almost all the teams have a white one, but yeah now that you mention it i haven't seen the bombers wearing a white strip. That's good news, if we don't have to have a white jumper, than I don't see why we couldn't wear a yellow clash strip.

There are some real bat shit crazy rules when it comes to clash strips. I forget what they are exactly, but part of them prohibits clubs from simply inverting thier original jumber.

Freo's clash strip is inverted too, but i guess with their secondary colour being white the AFL doesn't care.

Tigers aren't allowed to have all yellow with black sash and iirc I've read Melbourne posters being unable to switch to mainly red with blue.
Red counts as a dark colour which is why the Dees can't do that, and I've heard that we couldn't use the peril as a clash as it still clashed with Richmond which must be why they couldn't change as well, but this is what we were allowed to wear against each other last year, so there's no way that's what's actually stopping either club.
