It's not a different template though, its just that in 07 they started making the cuffs the same material as the guernsey itself, rather than the thicker, ribbed fabric of the collar. SO puma didn't completly change the template, like they have now, for one season then change again.

There's no reason they can't though. IIRC Adidas has changed their template quite regularly over the years. Since Adidas and Puma where brothers I'm sure they could do the same.

Lets hope they do, cause the new one's look shit!! No reason for the wings to be so small and far apart at the top, now that the collar is basically non existant, they could start from the one point, like in the old days and be much deeper. Even if they could print over the side panels, that would be an improvement. Like a few have said already, not only have they not returned the wings, they ruined the only wings we have!!!!

Actually the 2007 guernseys were on the newer, slim cut template, so they differed from the 2006 player issues. Then they changed the collar for 2008, but the 2007 guernseys always felt like a weird stop-gap, Frankenstein jumper with the cotton neck collar (with bloody yellow piping on the home) and the elastane shoulder cuffs getting ready to change to the 2008-2013 collar. So flamingEMBERS is correct in that they only had the template for one year in 2007, but incorrect that they will have this new template for only one year. Puma don't change templates lightly, we're going to see this round Kooga collar/side panel template for at least the next five years.
