That is the ONLY way this thing will happen. The club will not let navy go, so we need to accept that. I think we (well one of you photoshop genius') need to put together a navy home, with the correct sponsor (SGIO front) royal away, as is, and a clash. Peril would be awesome as the clash, but like I said before, I just don't reckon it works with the ochre in the eagle head. Not sure what the solution is but I'm sure one of you with more skills than me could figure something out.

Send the final 3 to Gary, and see what his response will be. We almost need to give them the idea, but let them think it was their own, Navy as home would achieve this.

We must not compromise, no navy, not now, not ever!

The club will not let navy die. It's been our home guernsey colour since 1995, much longer than royal was. In 98 we dropeed royal all together as a guernsey colour, and didn't bring it back until 2003, as the designated away guernsey. Has been our away colour ever since.

They won't want to be seen as going backwards and "reliving" the past, but moving forward but keeping our heritage, at least that's how I see it, and hopefully they would too. I personally like the navy wings, not as much as the royal but I would be more than happy to have navy home and royal away.

The tri panel had been around almost as long as the navy. Will they not let die too?

Navy wings got smashed in the poll, people don't like it, there is no need for it.

Royal and yellow is all we need.

Navy wings beat the tri panel in the poll, got beaten overall by the royal. Although that poll wasn't really set up how it should have been. The first part was right, navy wings vs tri panel, but the next one was royal wings current vs royal wings old (eagles text, no white) then it was ochre vs peril:confused: The last one should have been current clash vs peril.

Like I said, they could still sell the whole "new design, moving forward" type thing by getting rid of the tri, but keeping heritage by using the wings design across the board.

There's only so much lip service they could have done on such short notice.

There was 4% between the tri panel and navy wings, and 56.6% between the navy and royal wings. Barely worth changing to navy wings if they want navy
So the poll showed us that the majority like royal wings the most, we knew that. All I'm saying is I doubt the club will get rid of navy all together after it being one of our primary colours for 20 seasons. Add in all our merch that is based around navy.

All the club cares about these days is cash, so they will have 3 guernsey's for a long time to come. 3 guernsey's mean 3 primary colours. It will never just go back to home/away, they would lose money by taking 1 guernsey out of circulation.

We need to be realistic about this whole thing, rather than looking at it from a supporters point of view, we need to see it from theirs, which I don't really agree with, but can understand why it would happen that way.

Again, won't happen. Club will stick with 3 guernsey's from now on most likely. They would lose too much money only having 2 different ones to sell.
All the top end clubs in Victoria (in fact around the league) do well with just one guernsey. The introduction of the Navy and white trash was done for completely arbitrary reasons and needs to be removed.

Most of the Vic clubs care about their heritage though.

WC seems to only care about money.

Collingwood have barely two jumpers, Essendon fought a hard as they could for one.

St Kilda has many, North had many until they stuck with two, the same jumper inversed, their off field situation has greatly improved at the same time. The Bulldogs have three.

Hopefully the club sees the link.

Even to the point where you cant tell the difference on the field...(Pies and Blues comes to mind)

I beleive in heritage (hence the support of the wings) but sometimes there needs to be a distinction between the two teams!

Oh, I agree 100%. But you'd never see most of the vic clubs completely change their jumper design like WC has done.

They stubbornly refuse to change, even when it makes sense to, for the sake of heritage and tradition.

True, so why dafuq did we change it then?

Damn you some random primary school, damn you to heck...
Ironically Randon Primary school student was the best thing that ever happened for Port's jumper.

Freo also only have 2 jumpers.

I'd be happy with 2 WCE jumpers if they were the following:
Royal/Yellow wings & yellow/royal wings for clash

But since Navy will most likely stay, 3 wings jumpers is the best case we'll get.
