I am one of the admins, but today's posts weren't me, but looking at the comments now, I thought it was rather obvious the admin involved was simply mistaken and thought we'd allowed the Hawks to also wear their home. An honest mistake, and I don't exactly think the club deserves the benefit of the doubt anymore regardless.
What benefit of the doubt? What you're inferring screams entitlement. Be appreciative the club have done anything about it at all. It was a very small campaign you guys had, a few blokes and you've got it this far. It isn't as if all 60,500 members are demanding change here.

It could well be there are already wings guernseys in place for next season, but there's no guarantee that Puma have manufactured our kits for next season. If that were the case then of course the club can't yet say anything about them yet, we've still got a contract with Puma.

Just one scenario of what might be going on behind the scenes. I expect that they'll not want to do anything to hinder the selling of the excess tri-panel guernseys as it is.I'll Reiterate that I appreciate what you guys have done and I'm on board completely. The navy wings is the best guernsey we've had, and if I had been free when you guys did it I'd have been out there handing out flyers with you. However, I feel that it does need to be toned down a notch with the finger pointing.

Take that how you will.

Wasn't really what I was the admin was getting at. Was more trying to make the point that, as far as asking the AFL for shit goes, we're pretty badly behind. Seems as though other clubs can get around certain rules that the Eagles have suggested to us are 100% unavoidable. The difference in response from Hawthorn not wanting to wear a jumper, vs our response when we were told to wear a clash jumper at home against Richmond is pretty evident. Hawthorn asked the question, we just seemed to do as we were told, then there was a week of the club saying we'd asked but the AFL saying we hadn't.

I'm sure that handsome devil was just trying to express that other clubs seemingly stand up to the AFL a little more than we do in regards to uniform policy, but maybe didn't express that clearly.

What I suggested was better so just shut and go with it imo.

Right, so your issue was more than the club should've asked to wear a special wings type guernsey a la Port prison bar all finals instead of a last minute swap? Seems more feasible now. Don't necessarily disagree either. The notion that the club should've thrown together iron on sponsors was a stretch though.

They haven't really done anything at all, that's the problem. Adelaide had a poll up and the jumpers decided and announced in two weeks. We're about that far from it being a whole year since they put a poll up ffs. I could put a poll up in 2s.

It was a very small campaign you guys had, a few blokes and you've got it this far. It isn't as if all 60,500 members are demanding change here.
It's 1200 on Facebook and 9000 posts on here. It's not revolutionary but for a pure fan led initiative, it's not exactly small

So when they launch the poll, tell us that we have to wait til the end of 2016. Don't say it's December in October, and then actually February in December, and then actually March in February, and then actually mid season in March and then actually at the end of the season during mid season. Surely you can see why we're getting pissed off?

It's been shown before we're the club were fans have the least say, so when the fans who pay $600 to sit in a shithole actually try to have a say, give us a decent response instead of this.

If we lose on Friday (we won't, but if we do) are we in line to play the winner of Richmond/Norf? Imagine the jumper shenanigans that week!

Almost talking as though you are Gary Stocks Mop

The Club has continually lead us on with this at least tell us theres a delay. At least say we are going to release the results at the end of the year rather than keep pushing us aside.

Of those 60,500 half of them probably weren't members when we were running in wings on Subi. Why would any club neglect its Premiership jumper as much as us? Why can't the fans appreciate it at home. There was an overwhelming response when it came back as a tribute in 2002. There was an overwhelming response when it came back as an away jumper in 2003or4. There was an overwhelming response to the Gold jumper in 2006 during heritage round. There was an overwhelming response in 2011 as a part of our 25th year celebrations. There was an overwhelming response to the 92 20th year anniversary jumper.

I guess thats where the money lies. Keeping that jumper as a cash cow to milk for every premiership.

I think you're selling yourself short. You had much less support than that when you guys got this across. That's not having a dig, that's the opposite, a small force got the campaign going.

I guess it's a matter of personal opinion but, if I were you, I'd be happy anything was happening at all.

I don't know the ins and outs of Adelaide's guernsey design, but the inference is that the club was happy to change, making the process a lot quicker. You've had to start from square one here. Therein lies the difference. Correct me if I'm wrong however.

I'm going to keep stressing the point that I'm behind the campaign, appreciative of what you've all done and consider you guys good blokes consider it all constructive criticism.

Mop im seriously questioning your agenda with comments like "I'd be happy if anything was happening at all".

We are not trying to revolt against an evil dictatorship we are merely trying to get our footy club to listen to it's fans.

What agenda? Half a dozen guys got this off the ground. The fact they got anything going is impressive. Not understanding your issue, pal.

Yeh, don't worry, I think you're just providing me a good outlet to get some of my anger with the club out :D

I thought they did at the time? I thought royal beat tri panel in the final? Or did royal beat navy? Either way, royal won.
There were two. You are talking about the first, quickly thrown together one. The main one we're talking about is the oh shit they're serious we need to actually do something second one that was meant to decide our 2016 home and be revealed in last years yearbook.

That was the 1st poll. Was just to see what was the fans' favourite Eagles jumper over the years. No promise of change based on results

If the dockers lose their final , I believe they would then become 4th seed instead of first , meaning that we'd be the higher qualifying team in a derby final/grand final . Of course if they win, we'd have to wear our white tablecloth against them (oh the ignominy)

What a dilemma . Dockers winning helps our premiership chances but hinders our ability to wear the Royal Wings (ideally ) and even the Tripanel

I thought there was only one, which combined members votes with other peoples votes on the website.

They ran a hasty jumper judgement in which every variety of wings won in a landslide. Final was royal vs peril. Then they claimed that vote wasn't representative because "a vocal minority" could vote multiple times (in a poll they set up), and because a significant portion of the fans might not be particularly computer literate.

They then did a more extensive vote which was simply 'what should our home jumper be for 2016' with the options being navy wings, tripanel or a design your own. We were told the results and decisions would be announced at the end of the year, then before the season resumed, then soon, and now silence.
