They ran a hasty jumper judgement in which every variety of wings won in a landslide. Final was royal vs peril. Then they claimed that vote wasn't representative because "a vocal minority" could vote multiple times (in a poll they set up), and because a significant portion of the fans might not be particularly computer literate.

They then did a more extensive vote which was simply 'what should our home jumper be for 2016' with the options being navy wings, tripanel or a design your own. We were told the results and decisions would be announced at the end of the year, then before the season resumed, then soon, and now silence.
Ahhh...yeh, I remember now. Incidentally the answer to their jumper query is staring them right in the face in that vote....home royal, peril away. How can they be so blind to the obvious?

Taken about a month for Adelaide to go from running a poll to getting jumpers made and showing them to the fans.

It's been about a year since WC did the member vote (2 years since WC did the JJ poll) and we still don't have any concrete info regarding our jumper for next year.

It's just so disappointing.

Thinking of it now, do Fremantle even have one? Can't recall them ever wearing it if they do.
Fremantle have an inverted colour strip (like most clubs) as their away/clash, that being the white with purple chevrons. We seem to be the only club that has completely different jumpers for each occasion.

I thought they did at the time? I thought royal beat tri panel in the final? Or did royal beat navy? Either way, royal won.
Royal would have beaten Navy. There's no way tri panel would be in the top 2.

A vast majority of our members are silver foxes they don't necessarily know how to use the computer or have the energy to care as much as they used too, but if you ask the fans at the ground on any given game day 80% would say wings are better. Not only that I think the proof is in the pudding that the fans love the wings. The club (and by the sounds of it you work there) keeps milking wings as "Special Edition" "Commemorative" gear. It's horse poo. The reason it took 12 of us to get this started is because we have been neglected for so long no one actually believed this could happen. If the members were able to elect a single member to the board I guarantee that this issue would never have been an issue because
a) we would never have changed jumper
b) if it had changed at the turn of the millennium in 2013 when we first bought this to attention we would have been wearing wings in 2014. In fact after the response it received upon it's return in 2002 for a 10 year anniversary it would have been bought back. The result would have been the same as what just happened at Brisbane.

Answer me this. Why don't we wear our Premiership Jumper at home in front of our Members and Fans?

He doesn't have any real power at the club though does he? I mean he's been pushing this as much as he can within the club, but at the end of the day he doesn't get a vote
Since day 1 I believe
He's communications manager, maybe he took over that role in 2000, maybe I'm just not great at stalking linked in profiles.

As communications manager no, you wouldn't have significant power, but he's an old hand at the club so I'm sure he'd have some degree of voice. Obviously not enough to influence stuff like this, nor would you expect that to be the case, but he's hardly the social media intern either.

I don't want to call it early, but I think the wings are popular.
It's an indictment on the club that those club-led jumper changes (ochre and its home counterpart) garnered 13% and 21% positive response from our fan base.

My old man recalls that he was the one who axed Ken Judge. I would of thought that his coaching ability did that. If anyone can shed some light on Gary' s history I would appreciate it. Sounds like a classic school boy mate of Nisbetts.

That really was a dismissal of anything but wings (darling vs daisy/houli style).
The trip angel was relatively close but even then it was the encumbent vs probably the worst of all wings jumpers (if you really had to pick one).

This will need to be stepped up to another level if nothing happens over the off season.

Telling that the navy wings, by far the least popular wings, still took it over the trip.

Yeah if they just forget about it over the offseason I say we get militant again.

Been patient since the two votes but it'll be poor form to just sweep it under the carpet for another year
