The only thing that gives me slight comfort is that Melbourne have all but assured themselves of the number one pick now, and they wouldn't want to jeopardize that by beating us...

Back on topic, I'm going to be optimistic and go with ESS by 30 points, or 40... depending on the conditions. Of course with AFL you never know... - However we always manage to get on top of the Dees in the end. Even if it's away.

I'm hoping for the second week in a row we can keep the opposition under 100 pts. You would think Melb would need to kick 100+ pts, if they were to have any chance of beating us.

The Dees have been playing pretty well recently. They did beat Brisbane at the G, who aren't a bad side (obviously).

However, if we stick to our guns as we have done in previous weeks, then we should win fairly comfortably. One thing is for certain though - Lucas won't get a touch..

We'll probably have Green, Wheatley and Wonnaeamirri back which should help out. Seriously the sides we are fielding atm only have bout 1100 games expierence between the 22.

Our back line has been going pretty well and was looking forward to some of our up and comers taking on the likes of Lucas and Lloyd.

If Melbourne give a spirited contest it wont be as easy as people think.
In fact if were not on it will be an upset.

If the contrary happens, it could be a blow out.

My prediction, both sides have a crack and Essendon by 22 points.

Due to the fact the bombers need % to be a finals chance, I hope this means they'll come out with fire and the intention to win and by lots. Essendon by 45.

I think the game would have to be heavily affected by weather or flooding (not weather related) for it to be low scoring.

Generally in games invloving Essendon at least one side is going to score big.

So basically, I can't see both sides scoring under 100 points.

Wet weather footy means we should be playing small. A recent EFC article suggests Lucas will not play. Maybe get Lovett in??

Our smaller players like Gus, Lonergan, Reimers, Rama and Jetta will have a field day sharing goals between them one hopes!!

On current form and if it does rain I think we'll be too overpowering on ground level, especially in the forward line.
