Nice additions, if all comes to fruition.

Not trying to be biased, but this batch has to be up there, as far as 2014 is concerned.

McCartin
Goddard
McKenzie
Lonie
Sinclair

Awesome batch.

St.Kilda done really well.

BOOOOOOOOOMM

Got to be right up there. We'll have to see how all these kids from St Kilda, Melbourne, GWS and to a lesser extent, Essendon project. In the trade period we also got Varcoe, Greenwood and Crisp. We also had cap space freed so we can make a play at guys like Treloar and Aish.
Brayshaw, VdB have been good.
Harmes, ANB and Stretch okay.
OMac debuted Sunday
Petracca ACL.

Harmes was drafted a couple of years ago wasn't he? Spud imo anyway. But very happy with our draft though.

With our draft sanctions I have been happy with our ability to get both Langford and Laverde.

Langford looks like a natural forward. Hopefully can become somewhat like Gunstan from Hawthorn. Laverde will end up in the middle but is an attacking midfielder/half forward type who knows where the goals are.

Loving the boys so far.
Update on this - did you see Langford through the middle. There is a touch of Pendles in his ability to move through traffic and keep calm.

Heppell, Myers, Colyer, Zaka, Laverde, Langford + Merrett could potentially drive our midfield in years to come (quite possibly with Parish too)

Durdin was Injured but what happened to the 2nd Rounders?
All three of the players North drafted suffered season-ending injuries throughout the year unfortunately. Durdin played eight games for North Ballarat before going down with a shoulder; Nielsen ruptured his ACL before the season even started; and Vickers-Willis only played three full games before suffering two shoulder injuries (had a two-week injury, returned, got knocked again and it ended his season the second time). Their two rookies (Preuss and Fordham) have had better luck and seem to be tracking pretty well.

Adelaide have nailed lever with the first pick for us. Wigg and Dear are still adjusting. McGovern is going to be good up forward
OBrien as a rookie was a very good get as well. Probably your second best ruck.

considering we had no real high draft picks at all to come out with a player like andrews was huge, even if he was from the academy.

Freo nailed the draft in terms of picks Weller, Blakely and Lamgdon all look good for there positions, especially Blakely and langdon
Don't usually like to make these call early but have really liked these 3 selections from day 1. Blakely to get his first game for the club this weekend too.

What about Matthew?

Has he had a Goodyear?

Trade Down really Worked for Crows. Move Down and get the Player they Wanted and Move Up in 2nd Round to get a Better Pick

That is Terrible Luck with your Draftees

Relatively quiet year in the VFL, but he's been given a lot of defensive jobs that have been at odds with his natural accumulating game as an on-baller. Seems like they've been trying to develop the defensive side of his game to compliment his attacking ability.
Has been played more on-ball the last couple of weeks and has played quite well.

I love our collection of runners in Docherty, DVR, Sheehan, Boekhorst, Tuohy, Thomas, Dick, Everitt, Simpson and Yarran who can run and kick. Adds balance to Cripps, Bell, Tutt, Graham, Whiley, Smith, Kreuzer, Curnow and Holman who will provide the grunt.

If only I'd put money on it
