At least we have had two days of rain this summer.

But summer is still shit, two days of decent, mild weather (> 30 degrees), then it is back to mid-high 30's crap. That said, at least the humidity isn't present here most days.

I'd love a European summer, really.

it's barely been "summer" in Adelaide this year.

like, today was 24°. it's meant to be 35°+ normally.

haha 24° is a pretty good temperature IMO. Anything over about 30 is too hot.

Yeah and the most annoying thing is when it's 30 it feels like it's about 40 because it's as hot as it has been for us

Anyone that thinks summer is better than winter would change their mind if they spent this summer here in Perth.

We're about to break a record for the number of consecutive days over 30 here and our forecast for the next 7 days is all over 35 with minimums of 24 or more which makes sleeping a nightmare without aircon. F***ing sick of it.

If my counting isn't ****ed, that's 21 days in a row over 30. And the next week all over 35...

Sounds like a typical Atlanta July ;)

Actually I think last summer we had a record number of days over 32 (90F in the US measurement). Something ridiculous like 80-90 days or something...

So you lot have it easy unless you're in Karratha :p

Yeah I'd imagine Atlanta would get pretty hot and humid in summer.

I spent some time in Virginia, Washington DC and New York in summer and they were all quite hot and very humid, like everywhere on the east coast.

At least in WA it's usually a dry heat although it has been quite humid here lately.

Surprisingly it's not too terribly humid here. I think it is because Atlanta is somewhat elevated, about 1200ft (350m or so). Not sure exactly how that works, but while it can be very humid, it's nothing like what you get on the coast and further into central/south Georgia, which is very flat and HOT.

I have been to Savannah, on the coast, and it was like what I imagine Darwin would feel like in the build-up. 35C and about 50-60% humidity, so heat indexes of about 42-43C. Good place to find alcohol fortunately :thumbsu:
