I can't get normal broadband in my area so I have to use BigPond Wireless broadband - it is a joke. 1 gig for one month is not nearly enough and I went over the the download limit last month by 700MB and had to pay an additional $90 fee.

I want to get a new wireless broadband provider. Can anyone suggest any companies that have reasonable prices and download limit.

I've checked out AAPT and Westnet, they seem to have pretty good offers.

Suggestions?

Cheers

have you tried 3? they supply wireless broadband, however they may not have towers where you live... worth looking into though...

I'm on the Next G Wireless plan too - its bullshit rates. But not much you can actually do, cos most likely Optus, Virgin etc.. wouldn't cover your area...

Sean., he said he can't get normal broadband, as in cable, dsl etc...

Telstra have the best coverage, if you move to another provider you may not have coverage where you want it most. Thats why Telstra charge what they do.

If your only using it at home, have you looked at satelite or isdn?

Satellite and ISDN aint much better in prices, IMO.

I had ISDN and it was costing me $40 a month for the unlimited dial up plan you have to go on for ISDN, plus the costs of having to have another phoneline etc, for only 128k speeds.. Only good thing about is having another phoneline, and having unlitmited downloads...

And Satellite, well, I haven't seen a plan that's any better than Wireless... when I applied I couldn't even get it, with trees being too close to the house. >_<
