Wirrpunda and Gardiner Resign!

Just read on the WCE and AFL site that two of our best players have resigned for us which is great news! 3 year contracts for both of them which is good for the club and themselves...hope they can become integral players in our next premiership.

Great News, but it gave me a fright when I first read the title, Wirrapunda and Gardiner Resign, I didn't read it as re signing, I read it as resigning as in quitting the club. But it is excellent to see that they are with us for another 3 years, and hopefully more after that

I saw it on AFL.com just a minute ago before coming here, i saw Gardiner and Wirrpunda and i just thought to myself "have failed fitness tests and wont line up for port" but as i read on .... FINALLY some good news

Anybody know the status on Cousins, i was reading Wirripunda's comments and he says he is really happy here and hopes to play out the rest of his career here!!! I was very excited about that because i know we snatched him from Melbourne so its good to see he is happy. Anyway back to Cousins, anybody know if he is happy, is he gonna stay??

You think he would be pretty happy now as co-captain and imminently sole captain next year probably. Plus he's on tv everywhere here and is quite the celebrity whereas in melbourne he wouldnt get the same exposure.

I can't see Cousins leaving the eagles. A player of that high profile with duel All-Australian appearance, a Norwich rising star winner and the captaincy under his name does not leave a club.

On the other hand, who would have predicted White would leave the eagles?
