100% Shuey, on-field leadership has improved out of sight. Follows Hurn unto the field in majority of games, front and center of Simmo during breaks etc.

Does it matter? What does the VC even do? Hell, what does the captain even do? Toss the coin; are we sure Hurn is the best person to toss the coin, has he demonstrated better coin tossing ability that all the other players?
Should be tested at the Draft Combine. Much more important than a sprint test imo.

If we have to have a handful of VCs I would like to see Yeo get a shot. I like his approach to the game, his dedication, and his love of the jumper and the club. I think he would make a great captain one day.

Thankfully the captains don't toss the coin because by all accounts Hurn is a shocker at it, (coin lands 60 metres away). Good at calling the toss though, gets it right about %50 of the time.
Is this a double Selwood joke?
I'd be surprised if it was someone other than Gaff / Shuey / Easy. Wasn't it voted on by the playing group last year? They'd be popular contenders. But looks like Simpson is trying to teach leadership skills a bit more generally among the senior players, ala how they try to do things at the Hawks.

From memory Simmo isn't into 'leadership group'. He wants all players to develop their leadership skills, without the clique of a leadership group. That is probably/possibly why quite a few of the boys (Shuey, Schofield in particular) have stepped up their leadership even though they don't have an official role.
So in 2015 Hurn was C, Kennedy and SSelwood VC.
