Spoke to someone from the club?? Watch out Mooneyd'King, looks like TC is trying to outdo you!! :D

Thanks for that.. Yes, rest him. History shows Subiaco hasnt been nice to Monica's knees. Better be safe than sorry in this case, imo.

That was a one-off incident, and the kind of thing you can never predict.

If Wocjinksi is fit, play him. Simple as that. I can only see one definite change for this game, and that is Scarlett in for someone, probably either Hunt or David Johnson. I initially thought Hawkins would get dropped for Ablett, and still might, but going by reports sounded like Ablett didn't do much in the seconds.

which one suits the big Subiaco ground more do you think Nathan or Tom , partridge.

At this point Nathan Ablett easily. Actually that makes me think they might bring him in despite not having a big game in the seconds. He's much fitter, plus the open spaces suit his leading. He'll cover a lot more ground than Hawkins. Plus it can leave Mooney close to the goalsquare where he has been very dangerous lately.

I think giving him a weeks rest would be best, have him right for the finals, hey tonycam bit sad that no footy for geelong fans this week only in perth, if only rich enough to fly over for game would be good, do you know anyone going.

If.. exactly if he is 100% fit, ready to go. Why risk (if he's not 100%) him when, a. We lost out best defender at the last minute last week and it barely made a difference to the oppositions score, 2. it's getting to the pointy end of the year. Avoiding injuries would be a top priority, and d. It's only Freo.

:D

(Am I tripping, or does Subiaco have a higher record of knee injuries?? I have no statistics or anything. Just something I seem to recall.. from somewhere..)

I betcha he got Hutchy sacked from AW. Watch out, he'll be after his Footy Show gig soon. :D

Lets hope so, Hutchy's has the looks of a dog **** that has been stepped on by a man wearing Dunlop K26's.

The less we have to see that on TV the better

If he's 100% and only if, then he should play cause the big wide open spaces will suit his run and we will need as much run as we can get.

"Geelong wingman David Wojcinski looks set to make the trek west despite copping a knock above his knee against the Bulldogs, while Matthew Scarlett, who was a late withdrawal with the flu, is still feeling the effects but is expected to play.Nathan Ablett and Steven King will be considered after strong performances in the VFL." GFC Website

PLEASE DON'T RISK HIM THOMPSON!

did nablett perform strong? a few others on this forum suggest otherwise?

On my post in the VFL thread I said he didn't play that great... definitely not a 'strong performance'. He was always trying to play from behind, his leads weren't strong enough. I don't think they should bring him back just yet... but it's so hard to tell with Nath!
