I feel a bit sick that Woewodin left Melbourne. He was a really gutsy player for you guys, and worth a lot more than what we gave you. The salary cap limits (amd inequalities) are forcing some pretty harsh trades.

Of course I'm happy wiyth him coming to Collingwood, he's a fine midfielder. I just don't like the circumstances. If we had to trade away one of our best midfielders (say Burns or Licuria) I'd be pretty sore. I'd never gloat or pick on a side for this happening, next year it could be us facing this situation.

Did you snag Heffernan? Good player there, should fill the gap. Good luck for next year.

Yes, we did snag Heffernan. Passed on pick 12 for Heffernan AND pick 17, so we did very well there. A midfield line of Yze, Johnstone and Heffernan will give opposition teams a few headaches.

In a way, it is sad to see Woewodin go as he was always a great player and his clubmanship was great. However, I'd rather see him go then Yze, Johnstone or Powell to be honest. Good luck with him next year.
