Surely this joke has gone far enough.

It's in the best interests of soccer/association football in this country for Foster to piss off and shut up. The kind of crap he produces does their sport no favours in this country.

You can't blame Foster. He is truly passionate about his football and sees all these wonderful athletes both indigenous and non-indigenous playing other football codes , AFL and NRL especially. He thinks to himself "if all these benji marshall's and gary abletts had football as their first game we would be contenders on the world stage!"
Alas this is , at least for the current time, not going to happen. Until then he has to chip , chip , chip away at the stronger codes in this country and most of the debris is on his shoulders.

LOL he translated wrong. FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) is in french the correct (most correct) translation into English would be IFAF (International Federation of Association Football)

Association Football because it was the football code played by the (English) Football Association as opposed to the other English footballs like Rugby Football played by other governing bodies.

FFA should be AFFA - Association Football Federation of Australia

Cry me a river, the bloke is a moron (he's put his journalistic credentials out there for all to see with this article) and a w***er. Absolutely no sympathy for him as he wastes his life on this continual bugbear he seems to have with this country and it's culture.
 
If you bother to read way back into this thread you'll see I actually got a response from the author, straight from the horses mouth literally, of the documents used to make these claims in order to fabricate a slim link with soccer during the world cup bid fiasco.

That is and was the entire extent of the matter.
We all know how that went.

Who exactly are the AFL players who, if they had dedicated their life to soccer, would make us a world soccer power ?

All I notice from this name is how close it is to Wog Ball but with a few letters added either end to make it sound Aboriginal.

For starters it has no relation to soccer.
It sounds like modern day Hackey Sack.

As for the world stage isn't Australia on the RU and rl world stage ?
If the English had allowed football from the colonies into England then what we know as Australian Football would have been played widely around the world.
