as it was shonky at best before his ACL.

He was in great form building up to that injury.

Similar to James Kelly when he broke his arm in Perth, was carving it up in the first few rounds. Hasn't been able to quite replicate that form, but they are both showing good signs they might be back!

I feel I must backup C35 , I too have often questioned Wojo. Too often , IMO, he would create with his dash and then waste with poor disposal.

The last two weeks however not only has he has given us the speed from the backline which the game now cries out for and we need , his disposal has been more often than not been good , his judgement thru the ground has been great, his mobility as good as ever and he has added to our score line directly in both matches.

In this form is outstanding and playing like this he is more than a guy that makes our best22 , he is a match winner. Now some might say he was always a match winner , maybe he was but I'd say he was also guy who never had reached the heights he was capable of. Just like with KK , what I hate is the over reliance of natural talent while seemingly not working on what can be improved thru effort and practice.

So , I quite happy to say I was wrong and enjoy Wojo burning the grass, getting into our 3 talls and making the other side look flat footed.

Blind Freddy can see that Wojo has improved every year since he has been at the club, barring his injury of course...

I love the way he plays... takes on his man and takes risks, top game!

I can't see how this applies to Bomber at all Turbo.

If anything, he seems to be someone who has limited talent (mainly speed) but has managed to build a career out of it in the face of adversity (ACL).

Is it a miskick if your entire aim is to kick it as LOOOONG as you possibly can? Wocjinski's speed and long kicking means he can often gain 80 metres or more very quickly. It makes it very hard for the opposition to get back and flood the 50, particularly if they've just coughed it up to give Wojcinski the ball. You've got every chance of getting Ottens or Mooney or Nablett one out with their opponent, or even a vacant goal square.

Wojcinski has been dropped from the side more than once due to his inability to be accountable in defense. While I believe he had his best game with Geelong last night, I'm with CHPMGC35 in regards to his career. I don't think he has improved over his career either, and was ordinary last year. When we turn the ball over, his man often cuts us to shreds, which isn't good enough and why he was dropped.

As far as improvement goes, he needs to improve his endurance. This is not a talent aspect of the game, but an achievable one resulting from hard work.

Catempire, he was dropped from our line-up last year.

Or are you just going to attribute that omission to the ACL injury?

He has always been an overrated player at Geelong - the crowd goes into a frenzy because he can run. I've lost count as to how many times he has thumped it long to no-one, or mongrelled it off the side of his boot.

You may think my comment before was stupid, catempire, your opinion. But your ignorant statement that his disposal 'does not matter' is absolutely ludicrous. Dumbfounding.

he may not be the best disposer but his disposal is no worse than many other players on the GFC list, even the much heralded prismal. but lets just single one player out.

martyk, this has nothing to do with what Turbo said. Turbo suggested that he had great talent but never worked hard enough to achieve his potential.

Is he the only player ever to get dropped from a team? Is he the only player ever recovering from an ACL to get dropped from their team?

Being dropped means little in the overall scheme.

Put my comment in context - Wojcinski's disposal does not matter in light of:

1. It is nowhere near as bad as you make out; and

2. He brings so much else to the team that any *minor* deficiency in terms of his disposal is paled with in comparison.

I don't care to keep repeating myself. So long as the boy gets due recognition from now on, I couldn't give a rat's.

You can put it into any context you want - but once again you have said his disposal does not matter. Chuck in a different scenario every time, I don't care.

It's an ignorant statement.

Fine cm35. You clearly can't grasp what is a relatively simple concept. The context is all important.

Rubbish. 'His disposal does not matter because his pace is a positive'.

Wow - even David Clarke would still be getting a game on your logic.

Do as you please but don't misquote me. That's not what I said.

I need not keep repeating myself for you benefit.

Then don't. See if I care. You have said his disposal is not of importance. That says enough.

Disposal is extremely important in todays defensive game. Geelong's midfield has the worst disposal in the league, which contributes heavily to our flood problems. Wojcinski is amongst the worst kicks in our side, and the only slack I'd cut him in this regard is he often kicks during a sprint.

His biggest problem is defensive. Most fans don't take notice of this aspect because thier eyes always follow the ball. He doesn't chase / tackle well, and struggles to be accountable for his opposition player. Without knowing, I'll bet his man got as many if not more touches last night.

My opinion is that the bads often outweigh the goods with him. He relies on an open game, and often relies on someone else to win the ball for him. In other words he is a little one dimensional, therefore inconsistant.

In addition, has little peripheral vision.

Well yet again, I'd just totally disagree with all of that martyk. I'd love to sit next to you watching a game of footy because it's remarkable how differently I see most things to you. It would be fascinating!

You highlighted 'extremely'. How can you say it is not extremely important? It defies logic.

Einstein. I did not highlight extremely. Have another read of his post.

FFS.

So by your definition he has great disposal, great speed, gets lots of contested ball and is very effective in defense?? Why doesn't he get compared to Chris Judd?? Pfftt...

Well, you either never actually go to a game (no one can judge a player accurately from on TV), or as I said, your eyes follow the ball only. Take a closer look next time your at a game, you'll be suprised.
