So by your definition he has great disposal, great speed, gets lots of contested ball and is very effective in defense?? Why doesn't he get compared to Chris Judd?? Pfftt...
martyk said:Well, you either never actually go to a game (no one can judge a player accurately from on TV), or as I said, your eyes follow the ball only. Take a closer look next time your at a game, you'll be suprised.
Einstein. I did not highlight extremely. Have another read of his post.

Sorry, so who highlighted extremely?
Can't hear you chappy?
What's that - you were wrong?

Yep, schoolboy error on my part. Just realised.
Funny how you are basking in it. But you are right about everything, aren't you?
That is quote of the year, that disposal one.
You can watch mediocre ball-turning-over rubbish if you want.

Ha! Hilarious. I defend myself against an accusation of something I didn't do and that means I have nothing more to offer!
Have another read of the above posts.
Go on, have a cry. I admitted I made the mistake of thinking you highlighted it. But the funny thing is, that highlighted word, and the conclusion I jumped to, is exactly what this topic is about.

You're very hard to follow martyk.
You don't believe that:
1. He is ineffective in defense
2. He struggles to get his own ball / contested ball
3. He is one dimensional
martyk said:You do think he brings speed to the side, which outweighs his disposal issues..
catempire said:As I've always said, his deficient disposal takes a back seat in importance when he is so creative and damaging with his run and long kicking.
He did it all last night and has really provided something we've lacked for a long time - run from defence.
ffs, there are much worse players in disposal in our team than david.
martyk and cm35, stop pretending CE thinks disposal is not important. He never said that so stop putting words into his mouth. He is saying that Wojak brings such an attacking style to an otherwise at times dull side that an occasional miss kick can be forgiven. He gives something different to our one dimensional side.
You're very hard to follow martyk.
GEELONG FOOTBALL CLUB: Wojo has his footy mojo back

David Wojcinski was back to his best against Carlton on Saturday night.
IF he wasn't already, David Wojcinski is officially back. More importantly, he's back as good as ever.
On a night when the forward line stars stole the limelight, Wojcinski's run and drive out of defence was just as valuable.
Any kid who wants to learn how to break the lines should get a copy of the defender's game from Saturday night and study it long and hard. It was textbook stuff, and it was beautiful to watch.
Time after time he tore up the Telstra Dome turf, leaving opponents in his wake.
At least seven or eight times he hit the gas and ran, exploding forward with the pace the Cats had missed so much in his absence.
After playing 15 games on the comeback from a knee reconstruction last year, Wojcinski is hitting the form that makes him such a vital cog in the Cats' artillery.
Wojo has his footy mojo back.
``It was good, I'm sort of getting back to the form of a couple of years ago,'' he said.
``Last year, with my knee, I was on the comeback trail and this year I've had a really good pre-season, worked hard on my agility and getting my speed back, and tonight it worked for me.
``It was probably one of my better games I've had for the club, I reckon. I was really happy with it and hopefully there's more to come. In terms of the team, (I was just) one of many that had a good game tonight, so it was pleasing.
``That's the way I've always played, right through juniors and it's what I try and give the team. I try and be solid down back and then rebound hard.''
Cats coach Mark Thompson was just as happy with Wojcinski's game, in which he had 21 touches and four inside 50s.
His running goal in the third quarter was the icing on the cake in a game where he had 10 bounces, almost double the next best player on the ground.
``I thought he was very important, the game's quick, you need quick players. David's form, his touch tonight, was fantastic,'' Thompson said.
``I thought he kicked the ball at the right times and I thought he ran and bounced the ball at the right times, too.
``He's a very important player for us and it's great to see him in form.''
Thanks for that benny's buddy. Here's the full text of that article:
Do you want to keep going with this?
I laughed at his comment 'the form of a couple years ago'.

What's to keep going with?
I just posted the text of an article.
What's funny about his form from a couple of years ago? It's pretty obvious he's talking about before he tore his ACL. Seems pretty logical, don't you think?
