One of the assistant coaches was interviewed on K-Rock and when asked why Woja had been dropped said that it was because they were unhappy with the way he was picking up his man - ie not at all.

I think Woja is a better player at the moment than some of the guys (possibly Tenace, Byrnes and MAYBE SJ [but i just don't like SJ so that could be why I put him there lol]) who were selected on Saturday.

People seem to be missing the constant kicking errors and decision-making errors that have riddled his entire career.

He's one guy we have who has the balls to go ahead and initiate something when he has it, he doesn't play that chippity chip chip chiparoo trash that Ling, Kelly and the other bastards play to make themselves look good. Monica has always used his pace to carry the rock and his long kicking to deliver quickly to our forwards. His disposal has never been below average either. He also has defensive skills, unlike Ling and Kelly.

if thats the case then have to agree, at the saints game he refused to man up on his man at the centre bounces. also saw a similiar thing in a couple of other games.

i agree TTC, i think he is given free reign to just flat out take chances when he has the ball regardless of if he gets caught. and the way our team is stagnant at many times its good to see, questionable disposal or not. not even the great "SJ" had any trouble marking the woja floater against the saints.

There's a fine line between having the balls to take people on or looking stupid and making poor decisions. he does it far too many times. I am sick to death of him being run down because he has no peripheral vision or football smarts.

You seem willing to place alot of blame on Bomber Thompson, yet it is players like Wojcinski that epitomise our club at times. Foot disposal - poor. Decision making - poor.

Really got to question the people who can't see his disposal and decision-making ability.

we agree to disagree on this topic and i agree that he should be dropped for not manning up his opponent as that has been a major geelong weakness this year.

i havent seen him get caught too many times this season and the times when he gets in trouble are when there are no forwards leading to him.

and i dont think he is the only one with poor disposal at geelong, there are quite a few. when we run down the clock trying to keep possession you just know a gfc player wont hit a target and turnover.

do we have a skills coach that practices kicking at all?

Gee give him a go - not every player is good at everything, and sure his kicking isn't fantastic ... but FFS everyone cries out for a player to back themselves and run with the ball and then kick long over the lines ... the fact he can transform a 50/50 contest on the half back flank into a contest in our goalsquare within 5-10 seconds all but ensures that he is one of our most important (not skilled - i admitt) ... but most important players, why yhe was dropped is beyond me.

I'd go so far as to say that Tenace and Woja are the only players willing to run and carry the pill, breaking the lines but both have below average disposal. Only difference is that Woja usually gets onto his roosts and players who can bomb the ball 60 are few and far between at Geelong.

I dont think I have ever seen Tenace sprint, only Woja does.

I'd rather monica turn it over through bombing it into our tall forward line than to see Ling and Kelly turn it over by chipping it sideways to nobody
