I support strong immigration as its the only way to keep cost of living crisis down, it helps combat the age dependency problem leading to lower income taxes, keeps construction costs down long term, helps boost the wealth of current australians and is simply ethical to help move people from tin pot dictatorships to democracies.

People who think keeping a few (usually brown or black) immigrants out will magically bring down house prices, while not pulling the rug out from under our hospitals and aged care centres are delusional, looking for the simple, yet wrong, solution to a problem 40 years of neoliberalism in the making.
Correlation doesn't equal causation. Shares, crypto and property (risk asset classes) grew during covid.
To me, woke is defined by a false claim of victimhood.

Gee Gethelred, should know me by now....I am not a hateful racist, I dont put my head in the sand and try to equalize everything, I love the beauty different races bring to this world. Being different is OK, I don't force equalisation on races and sexes. I say it's ok to be different and we should all be proud of that. it makes the world a more interesting place.

You're saying, pretty openly, that we've brought in too many people. We had just under 50% less people in 1975, so when you say that the ship is sailed here I'm reckoning you're probably talking post that time period. Then, you look at the biggest difference between those brought in before that - that being, in the main, white Europeans - and those after that - a far more open policy when it comes to who gets to come here and stay - and it becomes pretty obvious what is meant.
You would have to be quite singularly oblivious for the coincidence to fail to strike you that the second we began to let in people from other parts of the world than Europe, you decide that was when we needed to stop bringing people in.

Equality does NOT mean erasure of culture, Vassp. It means that every person, regardless of culture or gender, is equal before the law with exactly the same advantage without discrimination.
It means that you and I are of the exact same worth as sentient beings, regardless of what colour our skin is or what accent or language we employ or whether we choose to believe in 'higher powers' outside humanity or not.
