I've just made it to London and absolutely loving it.

This excerpt from http://kotaku.com/wolfenstein-the-new-order-the-kotaku-review-1579710698 is pretty damned good.

Deathshead (voiced in English by Dwight "Reginald Barclay" Schultz of Star Trek fame) proves technology's superiority once and for all by using it to capture the hearts and minds of the people. He then used those hearts and minds to power hideous death machines, which won the war.

Heh.

Up to start of chapter 4 and its a little underwhelming so far. STory is good, characters done well.

It just feels like there's not enough things to kill. It's actually got a bizarre hollow feeling at the moment.
There's plenty to kill, just wait and see....

Some real carnage moments and some very challenging fights.

I'm about to get into the final chapter - that's my goal for the day.

Sounds bloody good.

I knew it was a slow starter, but I havent had any wow moments.

Up the difficulty?

Finished today on death incarnate. Enjoyed this game. Will go back in and play Uber and grab some more trophies

Good game, probably one of the better FPS I've played over the last couple of years.

However the graphics look like something you'd expect from a game released in 2006.

Just finished, ripper game.

I thought the first half was slow, although the characters were established. I was a bit confused that an over the top Nazi shooter would feature so many fetch quests.

The second half kicked in. Lots of weapon upgrades, lots of pulped Nazis. Very satisfying. I only have 2 negatives, one is gameplay related the other is narrative.

1. The shooting was done very well, but didnt really stand out. I would have thought some crazy weapons would be included. The gunplay just didnt go to that next level. Maybe needed more environmental stuff? Im not sure.

2. The story was brilliantly done but it felt like a minor sh1tfight in the context of a grander struggle which we didnt really explore.

Solid 9/10.

Hopefully DLC and more sequels.

I finished the final battle yesterday - my disappointment is that we didn't see what changed once Deathshead was taken down.

Will be replaying on Death Incarnate and taking the other plot line and trying to pick up all collectables.

yeah part of me was frustrated with the ending, the other part of me was happy they are setting up for a sequel.

Is that the 2nd hardest difficulty? Ill do the same.

Yes - Uber is hardest I think.

my $40 copy arrived today, kalloo kallay!
So did mine, will have to pick it up tomorrow as I forgot to change my address on catch to my parcel locker :(

****ing idiot startrack. Instead of dropping it off at the post office that is open at 6am, they drop it off at the shopping centre one which is actually further from my house :S Now I need to try and get off work early to get it...

Is the stealth side of it any good? (I can imagine some of you might not have bothered :p)
I say yes.

Am replaying through now on the second hardest setting taking the different timeline did the bulk of some sections in stealth mode but there are other parts where you need to come out and engage in major slaughter.

Enjoying this game more than I thought. My backlog is running pretty deep at the moment so I just started this on second difficulty setting to power through but just snuck into Eisenwald and genuinely having a good time. I find I stealth half an area to thin the numbers then just go nuts.

I started it last night on the second hardest setting - it's pretty hard!

To be honest, it frustrated the shit out of me. I'm not a traditional lover of FPS, so I was kind of pissed off by this. I've only done most of the first prologuey bit though, so no doubt it gets better, but annoyed me last night

First time I found it reasonably tough on the default difficulty - I'm not a gifted FPS player and found it frustrating at times.

Second play through I'm enjoying far more - I think I'm more in the zone and know what I'm doing a lot more.

I didn't discover in the first play through that you could dismount turret guns - absolutely loving doing this - massive carnage!

That's a great way to do it.

Some areas though you can't stealth you've just got to deal out death and try not to get hit.

oh good, I'll be doing that.

I found this quite buggy too? I don't often see bugs, but in the plane going down I just got a grey screen through the cockpit, and once it had crashed I was supposed to shoot dogs which weren't there. Restart from last save point both times to fix it. Not a good start 30m in!
