Yeah, me too. Good for aussie, but I dont know if it's the right choice. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

not great news about Grimey.. he missed most of last year with that Back injury too didn't he?..

I'm still on the 'Official Mark Jamar to walk into a door frame and have season ending little toe injury' Bandwagon, so hopefully Valenti will get a spot soon.

All the best to Aussie:thumbsu:

Immediate replacement as small forward for Weetra I suppose. Does this mean he'll get a game this weekend? Maybe his enthusiasm will be a spark our forward line needs.

Woulda rather Valenti, gotta get the ball in there first. Would have been another good rotation for our midfield, which in my opinion has been found wanting these first two weeks (Apologies to Jones, McDonald)

I wonder what exactly the term 'back complaint' refers to.
Either way, I wish both Aussie and Grimes the best of luck ;)

Young Frank has had stress fractures in his back for the last couple of seasons, so that's what 'back complaint' refers to. Pretty poor news, but good luck for him and Aussie

The news about Wonaeamirri being elevated is the best I have read/heard/seen since the start of the season (including nab cup). I really hope we unleash him at SS against the cats!

Would love 2 see aussie run some geelong b*tch deep into the turf!

Thanks for the info ;)
I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of impact Aussie has after his elevation. Will he be the replacement for Davey while he's on the sidelines?

Great news for Aussie and the team. He might just be a bit more physically ready for AFL football then Valenti.

I wouldn;t thinks so Valenti has played at least 2 years of senior VFL footy which is the next best standard of footy in Australia to the AFL. I assume they promoted Aussie as a like for a like, with davey been injured (although named) i have a feeling Davey could be missing for more than 1-2 weeks. Aussie is an ideal replacement, a like for a like. If we had say brock Maclean or nathan jones (touch wood they dont) go down i could valenti then being promoted.

i know this won't get much credence here.. but your assertion about the VFL is arguable!

aussie played sanfl last season

read that then laugh your arse off, he was omitted. thats what you get for writing articles jacey boy
I didn't think it was too bad an article, at least it was honest and didn't contain 1000 excuses like most of the others. I like that the club is getting players to write articles and getting Rivers to do videos and things like that. It can't hurt them to reflect on the game and anything that helps the players with life after footy is a good thing (some of them might need a new job pretty soon anyway).

its good to see that young lads are actually getting ago. Not being nevgative, love the dees but wooden spoon seems definate for us soo i think its better for our future if we give some of the young lads a run and develop for the years to come.
