Re the wind, it might not have been considered windy conditions to a local, but it did affect kicking in the last quarter. As I said, it wasn't a gale but did have an effect.

could you put it down to poor kicking from poor players or should we blame the gale that was blowing in wonthaggi.

Maybe he spends too much time sitting on his arse in an office and doesn't know the difference between wind and a breeze. Or maybe I've lived in Wonthaggi too long and don't know the difference between wind and gale force winds. LOL. Perhaps I've become immune, but our local footballers can still hit targets and they play in far worse weather conditions (in regards to wind and rain) than that experienced yesterday. It was no worse than any other day at Waverley or the MCG and AFL footballers shouldn't have a problem with their disposal in those conditions.

How come the Tiger fans who went down there say Foley was BOG. In the papers, its all about Edwards and it also named Hartigan, Polo and Connors.

Foley is going to be our #1 midfielder by mid season. Howat to play 22 games unless getting injured, surely. Seems as if Howat tagged him out of it after the 1st qtr but Foley got back into later on.

I was down there and that wind was pretty strong , blew my cap of 3 times which is always a good indicator for me..

Was happy enough with what i saw from the young guys but as stated the overall quality of the sides was average , next week will be much more interesting i think...

Thanks TT - it's a pain in the bum to upload them once let alone twice. Everyone knows the other sites exist, so I don't think it's a big deal. If ppl don't want to see pics of the boys tell me now and I won't post any more on this site.

I was under the impression sante that foley only played 2 quarters and was rested the other two, certainly did enough in those 2 quarters.

Graham's disposal was awful and he looked lost when he got it, turned it over a few times. Might be a good tap ruckmen one day but thats where it ends for him.But then again still young and they say ruckmen bloom late and also its only the way i viewed it, others might have seen some good stuff i didnt, its tough to try keep tabs on players from both teams.
