I think it's out of Essendon, Hawthorn, Collingwood, North and the Tiges. The Blues list younger talent is so far in excess of these 5, it's just not possible for them to finish last, despite some bitter hopes (see above). Really hard to decide amongst these 5. Everyone's expecting the Tiges to improve enough to maintain their mid-ladder status, although their list is not impressive, and they have fallen into the Collingwood-Essendon-trap, of holding mediocre younger talent on their list for too long, and may pay the price for list stagnation. North face an uphill battle after a few disaster top-up trades that lead to the loss of a huge number of draft picks. The Pies list is old and slow, and devoid of top-shelf talent, and quality midfielders in particular. The Don's recruited well, but still have a very old goal-to-goal line which is about 5 years past it's prime. The Hawks just have no quality KP defenders. By contrast, the Blues have quality young talent on every line now, and are entering a phase of acquiring experience and stability in their lineup. This team has a bucketload of talent, height (tallest in the AFL by some margin), and pace. In addition to the Blues renown top-shelf KP forward talent, the Blues midfield has impressive potential, headed by future leaders in Murph and Bryce Gibbs. Even the Blues defense, once considered a major weakness, all of a sudden has a wealth of height and pace e.g. Bower (194cm), Setanta (200cm), Thornton (193cm), plus some additions Hartlett (196cm), Flint (192cm), and possibly latter Austin (194cm). The Blues really have some very impressive list quality. :)

Parrot, I really don't know what colour the sky is in the world you live in. You are actually so deluded as to warrent pity rather than scorn. Whatever medication your psychiatrist has you on is working too well, I suggest you cut back on the pills a little and prepare youself slowly for re-entry to the real universe.

Very wide open field this year.

Brisbane - Will win enough at GABBA. No
Collingwood- Only 4 games interstate. No.
Essendon - Actually rate them this year. Lloyd and Michael will buy them an extra 4-6 wins.
Kangaroos- Yes. Worst list on paper. Coach isn't flash either.
Carlton- Have form on their side. Their kids may buy them an extra couple of wins or it could go horribly wrong for the Blues (ie - 1 win.)
Hawthorn - No defence, still too young. Highly probable. Can't beat good teams.

Answer - Hawthorn, Carlton or Kangaroos.

oh how the tables have turned, Melbourne would be close...:p, but can't see much chance of Richmond moving anywhere

Oh dear...

I'd be embarrassed to return if this had my name to it.

Hahaha, interesting poll to say the least.

Ah well, we all have to look stupid at some point in our lives. I guess the majority of BigFooty's "finest" have decided to take their turn now. :thumbsu::o

Carlton should win the spoon in 2007, but they will improve.

2008 could be a toss up between a few teams.

2009 Essendon to collect the first of many :p.

why couldn't ya beat Richmond?
they got a Hard task against St.kilda
so Richmond could still finish with the Woodenspoon
i'll certainly be barracking for St Kilda to Rattle the tigers Cages hope saints smash em by 100 :)

Melbourne are also contenters for the Woodenspoon :)
