Eagles are going to be top this year, we'll win the Grand Final.

As for us having no power players, ha ha ha, good we don't want them anyway! But I'll have you know that we have Stevens, Gallagher (traded via the crows), Biglands, Shirley, Burton, Ciccollela, Skipworth, Crowell and McGregor who have all progressed through our junior grades, so to say that we are crap is rubbish. We are just fortunate that these players are able to play for us if the need arises.

Go Eagles in 2001

Lets have a look at these AFL players performance in last years GF (and in response to Eddie Eagle/Rocky) that Dew beat the Peckers by himself.
Gallagher - busy shirking in the reserves
McGregor - In the reserves
Biglands - Couldn't catch a cold never mind take a mark (I believe Rocky enjoyed his performance in Ghost though)
Ciccollella - Did nothing
Crowell - Too busy prancing around a wing to do anything useful
Add in the non AFL players of McCarthey and one kick Kluzek, Stewie Dew probably could have beaten them by himself.
As for being fortunate having these blokes play for you if the need arises, they play for you when there not good enough to play AFL!!!!.

I suppose Hulme Gowans x2 Guerra Graham etc etc had nothing to do with it

Look Downsborough (or is it Downsyndrom?) I am not Eddie Eagle. Crickey I do not suffer a multiple personality disorder!

In fact I haven't even read Bigfooty for about a month; I come back and some goof is calling me Eddie and accusing me of saying things I didn't say!

Anyway, do you feel a bit hypocritical bagging Eagles/Crows players; being a Crows fan and all?

Look Rocky/Eddie or who ever you are, the problem with the Crows is they have too many soft Pecker players in it. Get rid of them and they will improve.

I agree. Crows have too many Eagles players and not enough Norwood players. I went to that horrid showdown match against the wharfies and Biglands - well he should have worn a skirt after that skirmish with Primus. Some Eagles players have acceptable levels of skill, but as that Downsborough person says not tough enough. We need more Norwood players in the Crows.

what a laugh - forgive the power's recruiting staff - all highly intuitive followers of the game I'm sure. They would take no notice of the 10 clubs who currently have players drafted from the eagles on their lists.

Must be struggling clubs drafting the eagles players I hear you say - wrong again

The clubs that have drafted eagles players have won the last 6 afl flags in succession. (and 7 of the last 8)
4 of these grand final wins have come with very significant contributions off the eagle draftee's boots.

Well I was referring to the scoreboard, Dew kicked 3 goals out of centrals total of 4 goals into the strong breeze whilst the eagles could only manage 4 behinds into the breeze. No doubt centrals had 21 contributors including the jack oatey medallist james gowans. Quinton Graham also played very well.

Perhaps the crows should swap biglands for a tough ex - norwood player like keating - maybe even pascoe...... please. Biglands always kills yerbury when they oppose each other.

Are you joking??

We need the best players no matter what club they come from.

Norwood are very soft anyway.

Oh very amusing Eddie. Jonathon is a much tougher player than Biglands - isn't he a Wharfie reject ?? Keating was not Norwood born and bred and Pascoe hasn't played for the Crows - he went to Collingwood and didn't get a fair go. What about tough Norwood/Crows players like Matty Robran and Andrew Eccles !

I note that the soft Eagles cracked under the pressure AGAIN today. There appears to be no-one capable of challenging the Legs in 2001.

get off your Norwood wank high chair.

Granted the Legs are a capable team but Port, Centrals and the Eagles could all beat Norwood on a given day. If you're unbeaten in September then come back and strut.

Whoopty Doo, you beat Centrals and Port already. If you loose to them in the next round, what possible difference will that make? I believe Port beat you in the 2nd semi in 97, alot of affect it had two weeks later!!

Norwood wank: wanking on after 1 month of footy about winning the flag, geesh.

Grow up u 4WD Cowboy.

Were on top of the ladder street urchin, the flag is ours, Port & Centrals are crap. Go back to the social security office you low life.

Well said Ronald.
When Geelong and/or North Melbourne are placed into receivership Norwood will move into the AFL and dominate that as well.
Just think Ronald AFL games played at Norwood oval. Enough to make you open a bottle of 1965 Grange to celebrate, or even the 1994 Grange Chardonnay.
Go Legs - Premiers 2001
