This - based on our season to this point - is an interesting appointment. Smacks of review on one hand and looking for someone to blame with the other.
I'm not against it, necessarily; would've preferred someone other than Worsfold, but he's won a flag and has been around for a long time, knows the ins and outs of multiple clubs etc. Would just like to know a little more about what precisely he's doing.

GGF Carlton, he was such an inspiration for the * and worked so well there as you can see from their form they have brought into this year. FFS

Could be a good move, as long as his agenda is well defined and he's not seeking to be a senior coach again then his reasons for taking this role would be for the right reasons and surely being a recent coach is more benefit than having a Walls or such instead.
I'd expect the first few weeks of this role will mostly be collecting data on how things are running, without providing too much.
After that period I'd expect some changes to be put forward, it'll be interesting to see what they are.

Seems like a reaction to bad press and performance. Wouldn't mind betting that he only got a call within the last couple of days.

One positive is that Worsfold has None, Zero, relationship, friendship with any player on our list, which is of benefit! He's not here like at * to settle the farm after their drug bans, he's here to assess and assist the coaching group. As long as he has no desire for another senior gig then he's probably the best available choice at present.
Bloke must hate his family.
Has connections with Teague but that's it.

Has a relationship as a mentor to Teague, from their time at WC.
Regardless of the individual it at least shows some initiative from the club around the coaching structure and maybe moving into the 21st century.
Worsfold - for better or worse - is at least straight out of the game and not a fossil.

Love this appointment. Think he can be a really positive impact on our group, and be a great support for Teague.

I don't mind it tbh. He's an experienced head and him and Teague have a prior working relationship.
A bit of steely resolve to be added to the group.

Needed to happen but wouldve preferred Lyon. Could've helped bring a harder edge and a better defensive mindset.
